AP expiration confusion?

So we are planning on buying AP's for our May 2015 trip. We will be activating the pass on May 17th 2015. I asked two castmembers if the ap would expire on May 17th of 2016 but both said it would expire on May 16th 2016? I have read other information on this board and Mousesavers which would indicate it would expire on May 17th 2016. Confused:

If you activate on 5/17/2015, it will be valid until the end of business on 5/17/2016.

The AP expires on the same date, one year in the future. You can use it on that last date. Mousesavers and others whose posts you read were correct. You'll get bad info from CMs sometimes. If the answer seems wrong, it's good to ask others -- just like you did here!

Many (most) CM's likely have never purchased a regular guest AP.

agreed this has been our experience. It's like they give you an extra day for free - works for me
