AP, expedia reservation and dinning plan

we are annual passholders and booked all star music family suites through expedia. can we get the dinning plan? i'm not sure how it all works, we never stay on property (we get far better deals op) but expedia had the family suites for $150 (which is still more than we normally pay for suites!) and our guests really wanted to stay on property - so there it is.

anyway - anybody know about purchaseing dp if you didn't book it all through disney?

I'd say it's unlikely. You can add DDP through packages booked with travel agents, but if you got a "room only" rate, you might not be able to add a dining plan to it.

I figured it would not work. but since we paid about $150 less by not booking through disney, we're still ahead of the game. Maybe I'll call dinning about being AP holders and see if that helps.

You cannot get the dining plan on an Expedia reservation. To get the dining plan you, or a travel agent on your behalf, must book a package reservation through Disney. Even if you are an AP holder, you still have to book a package through Disney - although this would be a room/dining package, not a room/tickets/dining package. DDP cannot be added to a room only reservation.

The Disney Dining line is for making meal reservations; they cannot do anything with your room reservations. For your reservation you'd have to call Expedia, since the reservation was made through them. Even Disney Central Reservations won't be able to do anything with your Expedia reservation if you call them directly.
