AP discounts?

I already have our first cruise booked and we are considering going to WDW in the summer and getting AP's.
Is there a standard AP discount on DCL? and how much is it? Does it depend on your Cat? Can you apply the discount once you've already booked and does the pass need to be activated first?

I don't believe there is a regular discount for AP's however every once in a while they will send you an email about specials. I know recently I got one where if I booked a 4 night cruise for $459.00 I would get one free night at the Swan resort.

There is no across the board AP discount on DCL like there is at the WDW resorts. However, for the last couple of years they have had special AP cruises that feature discounted rates and special programming for AP holders. But the discount is only available for the special AP cruise. The next one is Jan. 25-29, 2004 on the Wonder -- I'll be there!!!!

This was actually a special that was running for Florida residents, not AP holders. With the exceptions of the cruises that they have been running for AP holders in January, DCL doesn't ever seem to offer AP discounts. I guess that's becasue your AP is actually money spent for disney world and not DCL which is a separate subsidiary (I believe). I wish they would offer AP rates, it would be great to have other discount choices with DCL.

Ok, thanks. I was just wondering cause when I requested quotes from DU and YMJ they asked if I had an AP so I "assumed" that they did offer discounts. Wouldn't that be sweet though??
