Hi! I am a huge Disney fan and am new the boards. Even though I have been reading them for three months, I just started posting this week.

Question: We are going on our first Disney Cruise next year. Do they offer any better rates/discounts if you have an annual pass. We are planning to buy AP's for our 2005 trip, but was wondering if it would pay to get them for our 7 nite land/sea 2004 trip. We already added another nite to the land portion. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Depending when you'll be at WDW and for how long (4 days??).I live in FL and never buy the AP--it's $300 something. The SEASONAL pass is under $200 and has about 2 1/2 months worth of blackout days--2 months in the summer and then Christmas to New years week and one other week(Easter week maybe--i forget). Anyway we pay for our pass by using it 4 times. So if you'll be in FL during the less busy times at WDW--that would be a cheaper option!

We've been Annual Passholders for about seven years now. The good thing about the Annual Pass over the Seasonal Pass is that parking is included. When you go as many times as we do (usually at least twice a month) the free parking really helps out! :)

Anyway, concerning your question about discounts on DCL, they did hold a special (1st annual) Passholder Cruise on the Wonder last year. I believe it was in September and was a three night. I'm unsure of the prices but it was in the Mickey Monitor (the quarterly newsletter for Passholders) and they said it was a success. I'm sure they'll offer it again.

As for a general, all-time discount, no. I don't think they offer anything like that.

Three Circles,
We probably caravan down I-4. We live in Clearwater and I go through withdrawals if I can't get there at least once a month. I wander the mall Disney Store now and then for a quick fix. Thank goodness for DVC, DCL and APs. In fact, my DD and I are heading over tomorrow at 7 am.

Take Care,
Dawn Hope

I'll keep an eye out for your car the next time we're headed over to Disney! :)

We'll probably be there this weekend. Gotta check out Mission: SPACE!!!

I think an annual pass for the Disney Cruise Line is an EXCELLENT idea!! Wonder how much THAT would cost!

The AP cruise was a 3-day on January 23rd this year. It was GREAT! The next AP cruise will be a 4-day on January 25th 2004. If you book it right now, there IS a slight discount for AP holders. That may change, as they have not yet "officially" added special activities or programs for it, which they had on the first one. If/when they do, I was told the price may jump.
