AP discounts for Halloween Horror nights?

Looking back at my 2013 planning notes, as a minimum I had to purchase the Preferred AP in order to get a discount off HHN (and additional park day tickets).

I notice now there's a tick against these discounts for the Power AP too this year - are the discounts offered exactly the same level?

I'm wondering if the Power AP would be sufficient for us this time - main draws for us are hotel discount and HHN discount, blackout dates and parking don't matter...

I have the preferred as there were only two categories years back when I bought mine

When they changed the perks for it, did not like that
Some rumors of that happening but surprised when it changed

I notice there's now something called the Seasonal Pass too...
We want to visit over Halloween Horror Nights 2017, so am I right in thinking I could just get a Seasonal Pass and still be entitled to discounts on both our hotel stay and HHN tickets? It looks like there are no blockout dates over the HHN period?

There's no telling what will happen next year with the Seasonal Passes since they are new. Universal could blockout dates for HHN sometime next year but that's a lot of time to block out so I don't think they would do that. However...they may not allow discounts on tickets for Season Passes. I would expect that before any blockout dates but we'll have to wait and see.

The 2017 blockout dates are already listed and it mentions discounts off HHN...
But are you saying that even if you purchased it now based on those terms it might still change and they wouldn't honour that?

When did they first launch the Seasonal Pass?

lot of new things being done with UO this year.
seasonal passes are one of them.

prior to that we had power, preferred and premier annual passes


i'm sure we will see more changes in 2017


like metro stated, no telling what will happen next year
