AP discount

Can I book a room with AP discount before I actually buy the AP? And also once I buy one can I see rates before I would actually activate? It’s been awhile since I’ve had one and I’m not sure if things are the same! Thanks in advance!

Yes you can book but you need to call. Seeing rates has been variable. Some people can see them, others cannot. I had a voucher in my MDE account a few years ago & could not see them.

Thank you for everyone help on this thread ... I bought an Annual Pass and booked POR-FQ for April. I was also able to get a charity bib for the Springtime Surprise runDisney event, so it's all coming together. Thank you!! One quick question ... Do I need theme park reservations? I have have a resort booked and also AP. This is a little different since last time I was an AP holder. Thanks! Just a bit confused.

There are only dates in March that don't require reservations so Yes I would make one.

Since you have a hotel booked I would do the one with Hotel Reservation as sometimes more are available allthough at this time they don't seem to gone for any dates, just that they are required.

WL has a 40% AP discount for a Water View king bed - $357 per night, but no other rooms had the discount.

Poly wasn't available for your dates.

Is it possible for someone to check dates for Copper Creek for October 17- 24? Deluxe studio or 1 bedroom. Never had an annual pass, but thinking about getting one.

Thanks in advance!

The current discounts only go to October 3rd, same as the public discount. The only current offer that goes longer is the free dining.

Disney released AP discounts that included some October 2025 dates around May 15th last year. I'm watching for the AP discount for this October to be released.

Another question for those with or have had AP. Dos Disney offer blanket room discounts or are there blackout dates or dates that aren't covered? Like if it is a time that is typically busy and they don't offer a public discount, will they still put out a room discount for AP holders?

They do have AP discounts for dates that are not included in the general public discount. And they have resorts and room categories included in the discount that are not available with the GP discount. But most importantly, the AP discount is almost always at least 5% more than the GP discounts. Bounce back discounts are usually better than GP discounts, too.

But there are dates and resorts that aren't covered. There isn't a blanket discount.

It’s like any other WDW room discount. It is not a blanket discount that includes all dates, room types & resorts. It is meant to increase booking for unsold rooms. The included dates get announced periodically, AP discounts are not necessarily announced at the same time as other discounts. Resorts & room types will vary by date & change as inventory changes. Just because a resort is included doesn’t mean discounted rooms will be available there for every night of the promotion. Discounted rooms can & do get sold out. Already having a room booked doesn’t have any effect on being able to apply the discount. Like other discounts tho, the % off varies by resort category. The current spring discount was 25% for values, 30% for moderates & 35% for deluxe & deluxe villas.

Thank you for responding and the information.

THIS^

Been AP for most of last 18 years. If you can find an AP Discount for your dates and resorts of interest it is usually the best discount. BUT BUT I have found that I more often have booked General Public or Florida or Special (like Disney+) discount because no AP discount rooms were available for my dates/location. I have two trips booked, neither was AP the best choice. One is the Disney+ offer, and one is the Summer offer.

Years ago AP was always the best deal ~ but probably the last 10 years its been much more limited.
