AP Discount questions and AoA

My friend and I are looking at taking our daughters next Feb for a weekend to stay at the AOA Little Mermaid rooms. I have 2 questions about this I am hoping you all can help me with:

1. If we book a room and then get an AP, can we add the discount to the room

2. I noticed AoA is being excluded from PINs, what about AP discounts???

I would imagine that if excluded from PIN and FD offers, AoA will also be excluded from any other offers initially including AP discounts. Then of course it will depend on how bookings are doing and if Disney decides they need to offer a discount to get people to reserve there. Right now the family suites are excluded but they've been included in discount offers in the past.

Also if I call and book it, how much do I have to put down for a room only and is it refundable?? Is it still 200 when the entire cost is less than 400?

For a room only reservation, you pay one night's rate as the deposit and the rest when you arrive. The $200 is the deposit for packages. So you may pay more or less than $200 depending on your room rate.

The most recent AP discounts several resorts so it wouldn't suprise me if AoA is excluded after it opens.
