AP Discount question

Am thinking about booking a cash ressie at a Value or Moderate to extend our trip using the AP discount room only codes that were just released. Problem is that I have not bought my DVC AP yet. Can I still book the room? I do plan on getting one for myself so that we can also purchase a TIW card but have not yet. I tried calling Member Services for an answer but she did not understand my question.

Yes, you can book the room - tell them you want the AP rate and they won't question you - you just have to show them your AP or your voucher when you check in to keep the rate. We did this a couple of times in the past and had no problem.

Do you need to call MS or Disney? I am thinking since non-DVC owners have AP's it is probably Disney.
