AP Discount on Single Day Tix?

We purchased AP Deluxe during our New Year's visit. I am wondering if there are any discounts to purchase single day tix as a AP holder? Another guest in DL told us that there are certain times during the year that they have special AP discounts. Thought if anyone had insight it would be a DISer.

We bought AP for our immediate family but I thought it might be nice to bring my Mom to the park for one day during our San Diego trip.

Unfortunately the guest you spoke to was incorrect. There are no discounts on park tickets for AP holders.
