Just saw where annual pass holder discounts for rooms only Oct-Dec were released. In this past they have sometimes applied to camp sites as well. Just wondering if anyone knows the specifics??

Having a tough time finding details (imagine that) :confused3

Thanks! Been awhile since I have been on the boards and it feels good to be home! :thumbsup2

Princess,

Welcome home. pixiedust:

All I can say is call the ressie line and ask.

We have two weeks with Passholder's discount, site only. There are limits on how many site they give discounts for and some dates are full. Good luck.

As KPSmithSr indicated above, it seems Disney offers only a limited number of discounted sites. I just returned from an Aug 31 - Sept 4 trip to FW and called a number of times prior to the trip to see if there were discounts and I was always told there were none available. I am a passholder and a FL resident. I have a trip to FW scheduled for early December and those 'possible' discounts for that time are not out yet. I am new to RVing/FW, but have been a FL resident and passholder since 2006 and have always managed to get some great discounts when I stayed at the various Disney resorts. I just have the feeling that the FW site discounts are very limited compared to Resort Room discounts so one needs to call the ressie desk as soon as they hear anything about a discount for certain groups (like passholders) to check for discounts.

As a footnote, I made the original reservations back in Jan of this year. I called when they released the discount dates and had them applied to my existing reservations. A problem can be when you have a blacked-out or filled date in the middle of your existing reservation. For some reason, not a law a physics I am sure (I play a physicist at work), the CM I had said they count not apply the discount to the reservation because “some” of my days were not available. :headache: I asked to split my reservation into two and I think the pain was too much for them so they allowed me to have the discount over the entire reservation. I do think it was very nice of Disney to give me some days that were not originally available :worship: , BUT why they have the ALL or NONE rule on the discount is beyond me. :confused3 The point is, you can apply it to an existing reservation and you can call many times to see if things open up, a site and/or discounts on the sites. Good luck.

Actually, I understand that the AP discounts for early December were released on 9.5.11... here's a link to the thread here about it.

Passholders, save on stays at select Disney Resort Hotels when you book through December 24, 2011 for stays most nights October 3 to November 22, 2011 and November 26 to December 24, 2011.

We are at the Fort Dec 17-27. I made the reservation back in August 2010. The day that the AP rates were released, I called and had the discount applied to my reservation - the Fort wasn't available on the website. Rate went from 124/night to 106/night (with the exception of 12/25 and 12/26). SWEET!

So those of you who are getting the discounts (AP or FL Res) what type of sites are you getting them on? Full, Preferred? Premium?

My December ressie is the 7th - 14th and I call last Friday and they said they had no discounts available - my ressie is for a premium site.

Just wondered?

When I stayed at Resorts years past I never had a problem getting AP or FL Res discounts.

Thanks

Premium for us.

I called within 2 hours of getting my notice that the discounts were out and was told they actually came out the day before and were not available! Sheesh!

We've a preferred site reservation that has an APH discount applied. I've been told by a CRO cast member twice now that another preferred reservation we have is qualified for an APH discount, and there were discounts available for it, but by the time our TA checked, none were available. Both times. *shrug*

The TA did tell us that there were sites available for the APH discount, though, full hookup and tent sites, though.

I would highly encourage you to keep looking. Check every day or every other day. When we booked our trip for next week (check in on Saturday, WOO HOO!!!) at Pop Century, I booked Pop because it was the best of the values left (that's my opinion) and there were no mods left with packages. I've checked this week and CBR, POR and POFQ have been available with the packages!! We wanted POFQ (queen beds) but my computer locked up...and when I got back in, it was gone....just like that.
Don't give up. Sometimes they come up due to last minute cancellations or folks upgrading. :)
