I was wondering that as well. I was under the impression that greater than 10 and it had to be split up. At least I think it was 10 ... I think it's almost my bedtime.

My T/A called me yesterday about this very thing, I had/have a ressie at POP for 21 nights, now that she has the AP code the ressie has to be split into 3 different ones...10 days, 10 days, and then 1 day...I thought no problem BUT now I have to come up with 2 additional deposits...I think this stinks!

I called last night to apply the AP rate to our existing reservation. Of course, it couldn't be applied to the first night (November 25th) but we're staying at AsMu so that's not a big deal. I got the Poly GV for $275 a night (3 nights) and POR for $129 (3 nights) for 11/26-12/2. Although it's nice to save money it feels like Disney's being skimpy with the amount of the discounts (price not the quantity of). Maybe it's just me.

ok now i have a touch of the buyers remorse. I REALLY wanted GF, so i booked it at rack, and then got a AAA discount. Was hoping for an AP rate. Got AP rate of 405.00 Last night when i told DH, he said that it was STILL a lot of money. He wants me to switch it to AKL where the other 5 nights of our vacation is. I LOVE AKL, but i really want to do something different, and honestly i'm spoiled. I want a view of the castle. CR MK view is about 150.00 less, but DH wants something that will almost be paid for with the deposit i put of GF (540.00)
I have to do this today. HELP ME!!!!

Called at 7am...switched from ASMo booked at $111 per night to POR at $115 per night. Oct 19 to the 22nd. I am on the phone now trying to get a discount at the WL for 11/30 to 12/4

aaa rate @ CR tower MK view was $432,
AP rate is $388...
AP is $44 less a night.:goodvibes
To clarify in case anyone else can use this info, I wasn't saying that on all higher priced rooms the AAA discount works out better than the AP discount. There is a break even point. On our room (in value season) at the GF Sugar Loaf Concierge, the 15% off AAA discount beat the flat $75-ish off AP rate. Your room was below the break-even point at $385 per night rack rate (pre-tax), and mine was above the break-even point at $475 per night rack rate (pre-tax). So the AP discount worked out better for you (woo hoo!!!), and the AAA was better for me. Hope that makes sense.

If You Get A Discount At Wl Please Pass That Info Along...i Tried All Day Yesterday To Get One. Thanks!

Usewickhouse, i don't know what days you were looking for, but when i just called for 10/18- 10/21 they were showing WL courtyard availble for 258.00
I ended up with CR MK view for 388.00.
Now i have to change my ticker!

Just a heads up.I cancelled a GF Lagoon view ressie for 10/18 - 10/21 at AP rate if anyones looking for it. Dh said it was too much. Now we are at CR.

Confused...are you booking in value or regular season?

What "view/type" of room are you considering @ GF, is it MK view?

If the difference is $150, you should be able to make up most of the difference somewhere over the course of the trip (less misc. spending, drop rental car, whatever..) or @ least present your case with that defense;)

Good luck, post back & let us know what you've decided.

Keisha,
Thanks for the advice. I had Lagoon view during regular season. I understand his point although i dont want to, lol. Dh lost his job about a month ago. He got a new one last week, but were still 2 weeks off on our budget. The Unemployment check was about HALF his prior salary, so we lost out on some saving time. Now to play catch up, he wants a cheaper room.
So i dropped GF, got CR with a guaranteed MK view, (GF is only a request in 2006) and saved $203.00 I could have saved more, WL Courtyard was available, but i'm a brat and i wanted the view and the monorail. We had ressies at Chef Mickey's, Kona, and 1900 PF and it would be hard to make those if we were'nt on the mono, we don't do rental cars.

That reminds me, i have to cancel my towncar ressie and book ME too, another 100.00 saved!

Congrats on DH new employment...scary stuff, hated when DH was laid off few years ago. Dread contract negotiation time next summer, hope they aren't forced into a strike...trying to start a war chest.

We  the WLV...nice thing about WDW, such a range of accom to pick from, something for everyone. Funny, our "dream" hotel is CR. Family thinks they'll be in the north building, parking lot view...can't wait to see their faces @ check in. Don't know how I'll keep the secret until Oct. LOL.

We haven't used ME yet, hope it doesn't take too long to get to resort (BWV), usually we're pulling into WDW an hour after we land when we rent a car. Haven't tried a towncar yet. Are you doing MNSSHP too?

Hi all,

My TA just said she can't get any AP discounts for WL 12/9-12/16 - anyone else have luck with those dates?

We were going to buy an AP based on the room discounts being available...but it's crazy that less than 24 hours later, there's NOTHING?!

Thanks,
Chris :)

If you want a room only res. call CRO 877-939-3732 yourself & check out what's available...

you can always buy the ap online & get voucher # (btw, we weren't asked for our AP # @ time of making ressie).

good luck.

We decided to save money and stay at POFQ, so I just cancelled the AP reservation for 2 rooms I made yesterday.

Oct.17-27 Wilderness Lodge, Courtyard view
$230/night+tax

Hope this can help somone else.

Kristi

I was able to get 2 standard view rooms at CSR for 12/9-12/16(7 nights) at $99.00 each per night. After taxes and such the total was $1556.00(I think the last digit was a 6).

I'm going to CSR!!!!

BTW I upgraded from a AAA ASMu reservation for these dates. So if anyone was blocked out of ASMu maybe now you can get in.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I started this day (at about 2 am) stressing over having to turn a 21 day reservation at POP 10/27 thru 11/17 into 3 seperate reservations (and 3 deposits) to get the AP rate....well after many hours back & forth on the phone with my TA and much laughter we did it!

Saved $451.71 over the original rack rate at initial reservation, which as far as I'm concerned Disney just handed me a free year of AP renewal :goodvibes then I bought the MNSSHP ticket for the night I wanted ..the day I arrive.. :wizard: so excited I have never been at WDW at the right time for anything in over 20 years and now I will be there for it all!

:Pinkbounc MNSSHP...MVMCP...Soap Weekend..Epcot Food & Wine...  just wanted to share the joy!!
