Ap check in multiple rooms

I am hoping to book 2 rooms for an ap discount in late January/early February. Right now we are booked at the AAA rate through Dreams Unlimited.

When we check in, will my in-laws be able to apply their own credit card to their room charges? (Even though the room will be booked in my name due to the annual pass, if we indeed get the ap rate).

Also, will I need to activate the pass prior to check in? And how do I so? We will be arriving late afternoon on a Saturday and tired from two days of driving.

I have the same question about rooms charges for our Nov/Dec trip with BIL and SIL. Hope someone knows the answer.

I believe the only place they can be activated is at guest services at the park entrances, but if you purchase them at the Disney store at MCO they are the actual pass and not a voucher. You are suppose to have an activated pass to check in, but most of us here have checked in with just the voucher. We have done it twice ourselves. I wouldn't worry about it. I wasn't even asked for anything last November at the BC.

Here is how it worked when I did this June 2002. I am an AP-holder, and booked 3 rooms for my family under the AP discount. All names and who would be in a room together were given to the CM. As an AP-holder, I was able to pay my balance at check-in, but they had to pay their balances before we got there. But I was the person responsible for making sure their money got to Disney. The AP-holder must be present at check-in or the others may not check-in. I had my AP, so I don't know if you need to have an AP or if a voucher will do. At check-in, they check in the AP-holder first, then the groups in the other rooms (separately), and that is where they each may connect their room key to the charge card, request preferences, etc.
