When reserving a room through the AP Best Rate program do you have to wait until 120 days before your trip or can you do this at anytime?

Thanks

I am sure you will be moved to the codes board but here's a quick summar. BRP is getting very frustrating. According to the guidelines you must book 60 days out and not more than 120 but BRP is not always available for booking at 120 days. (ie, you can not book April yet).

Good luck! I DESPISE this new way of doing things! I prefer when they used to let us call. I have been going through the AP board trying to get in for 4/18 - 25 and they only have rates in up to 4/13. It is over 60 days away but under 120 so I don't know what is going on...

You can still call CRO for BRP rates. You have to call between 2:00PM and 4:00PM EST. You will only be able to get quotes during this time as CRO's reservation system will only allow the agent to view quotes during this time.

I keep seeing posts that BRP rates are released 120 days out and that you must book BRP rates at least 60 days in advance but no more than 120 days in advance. I've read through the fine print on the passholders' website and I've never seen any mention of the "120 day" requirement (either for booking or for release of rates).

I remember when the BRP was first announced last year you had to book at least 120 days in advance. Then they shortened it to 60 days. But I can't recall ever seeing anything in print about booking "no more than 120 days out" or that "rates will be released 120 days out", yet I see that mentioned often here on the DIS boards.

Can anyone point me to the source of the "120 day" info that is so often repeated here? Just curious, particularly as there have been no rates released for dates past April 13th, even though that is less than 120 days away.

If you cancel your brp when you still have over 60 days left, do they keep the deposit? Has anyone gotten their deposit back? If so, under what circumstances do they give back your one night brp deposit?

Thanks!
Tink

The rules on the website state that the deposit is non-refundable:

Rooms must be booked at least 60 days in advance and, unlike our normal cancellation policy, a non-refundable deposit of 1-night's room charge and tax must be paid at the time of booking. Currently this program is only available for arrivals through April 13, 2006. The number of rooms and nights available for this Program is limited and rooms are not available every night. Rooms are available for most nights during the eligible arrival period. This Program is subject to change or discontinuance at any time and without notice.

That's definitely not true. It used to be you couldn't book less than 120 days, but that was changed to 60. You can book it anytime between the day they are released until 60 days before.

I booked mine approximately 160 days before.

So you have to have the AP in hand to make the ressie? Can you make your ressie online or do you have to call between 2 and 5? Is there a thread anywhere that explains all this for those of us that do not have a current AP? Mine has expired but I would like to renew for our next trip.

I believe you have to have at least a voucher in order to book.

All change, it has changed today, you no longer have to book 60 days out and it looks like the dep. rules are chaging as well. There are also codes to phone in with.
