Hi
I am a DVC member, my partner is not. We live together so I.D has same address but we have different surnames. Does anyone know if we can both get the DVC discount on a regular AP? Or would it only be me?

As long as your partner has an ID showing the same address as yours both can get the Member pricing on APs.

From the member website:
Who is eligible to receive the Annual Pass discount?
Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount on the Pass for themselves and their immediate family residing in the same household only. At the time of purchase or redemption, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household.

Who is defined as "immediate family"?
"Immediate family" is defined by Walt Disney World Resort for discount purposes as noted below: Spouse/Registered Domestic Partner, Parent/Step Parent, Mother-In-Law/Father-In-Law, Child/Step Child, Brother/Stepbrother, Sister/Stepsister, Brother-In-Law/Sister-In-Law, Grandparent, and Grandchild.

Thanks

I left something out though, we are both the same sex. Would this cause a problem? Don't want to get into an embarrassing conversation at guest services, would rather pay full price than cause a fuss.

Should count as a family member if the identification address is the same as yours. As for benefits, I'm not sure what an associate member is able to receive, but it may be worth investigating and making your partner your Assoc member. At least, they could make reservations and cancellations as needed.

Disney has no issue with that and you would be covered as domestic partners. Although they say 'registered domestic partner' as immediate family, they are not going to ask for any proof.

All an associate member can do is make/modify reservations. They are not listed on the deed and not entitled to member benefits directly.

Thanks!

Really appreciate all your quick replys. I was a little uncertain if I should post this hence my first post not giving full info. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Actually, I kinda figured it out based on the word "partner". Same here, but FL Resident for pricing. Then again you could have been an male/female unmarried couple and I would have been wrong.
