AP and advance room ressies

I did try searching the boards first, but could not find the threads.

I would like to plan a June 2005 vacation as a surprise for my God children, but there is no way I can afford full resort rates at a deluxe. I know I've seen this question before, but cannot find it now!

Should I go ahead and book now and hope that when the AP rates come out I will be able to get on the phone fast enough to apply the new rate?

Or should I use one of the travel agencies listed on DIS or Mouseavers and trust they will be able to get through faster than I will?

I enjoy the planning and making all my arrangements, but would not look forward to the stress of worrying about getting an ap rate!

I did some checking and did find that ap rates have been offered for mid June, although no one knows what will happen for 2005.

i would still call the CRO to book it now. at least you know that you have a room available for you. because sometimes you can't get a room once the rates come out - they're all sold out.

then when the rates come out, call and they can modify it for you and change your rate for you.
