Can I buy an AP and then have it activated at the Orlando Airport? If not, does the store at the airport sell an AP with a DC discount? Do they always have AP's for sale at the airport?

I need an AP activated before I check-in at the resort... the reason for the questions. I know I could try and just show them the voucher at check-in, but I would rather have the activated pass and avoid and confusion...

So any advice?

You can only activate vouchers at the parks.
We have checked in with only the voucher many times without problem. But if you really want to have the activated pass at check in, just go to any park and activate it, you dont have to enter the park, as it is activated at the guest relations window just outside the entrance.

You can also activate your passes at Downtown Disney at Guest Relations. I do know the airport sells activated AP Passes. I don't know if it is with a DC discount though. Maybe someone else will know.

We bought our APs at the airport DS and used our DC card for the discount. It did take awhile though since they needed a certain man to do it and he was out of the store, so they kept paging him. After about 15 minutes he showed up and then it took about another 15 to get the 3 passes. We were a little nervous about our luggage, but it was all there waiting by our Tiffany driver when we got to baggage claim.

The following places will sell you an activated AP/PAP. No exchanging required:

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Information Center on I-95 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's EarPort at Orlando International Airport (2 locations)
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista
All of the above locations will still honor your Disney Club discount on AP/PAP's EXCEPT www.disney.com. Note that AP/PAP's cannot be purchased at Disney resorts.

We checked in without having purchased our passes this past July....but we were checking in very, very early (no where was open to buy the passes anyway) and I did offer to bring the passes back later if we needed to prove we had them for our rate. We weren't asked to show them....but I think that may have been because they saw that we are frequent visitors, previous passholders, and unlikely to be trying to get the room rate without the passes. Our goal was to get to MGM for early entry...buy the passes and go right in. The thing is, to get in that early we had to be checked in at our resort....lol. The check in CM totally understood what we were doing and didn't make it harder for us by forcing us to wait to check in.

Oh, and the Ocala Information Center is nowhere near I-95....I think its I-75 (but I'm not sure since we never go that way)...just to avoid confusion for those who aren't familiar with the territory. If you are traveling I-95 to WDW, Ocala is very far out of the way.
