AOL Mypoints...did you get credit?

I've read a couple of threads/posts where people did not get their AOL Mypoints but have lost them. I never heard any outcomes. I signed up for AOL through Mypoints and am wondering if I will have a battle on my hands to get my points credited...as you may know, there is no email confirmation, and AOL did not ask for a mypoints email address.

So...if you signed up for AOL...did you get credited without any problems? If not, what did you have to do and what was the outcome? Thanks!

I did have to send them an email about the points. It did it just past 45 days and thought I was gonna have problems. AOL doesn't send you a confirmation email!!!

But in my email I told Mypoints that I had done the offer and since cancelled and my points did not post but seeing how I never received an email from them and my account was now closed I included my cancellation number from AOL. It worked and my points showed up in my account within a few days...the only problem was they posted them back about 2 weeks after I started the offer. I noticed that my total of points had gone up and when I went to check my weekly statement I noticed the big amount of points for a week that didn't have much before. So if you send them an email be aware that they might post your points where they should have been credited and not like they usually do just posting overnight.

I'm still waiting for mine. I did have to send an email to them and I also included my cancellation number and my aol screen name. I didn't have to put up much of a fight though. They emailed me back early this week and said the points should arrive in my account w/in 5 days. I'm still waiting though. If they aren't here by Sunday I'll email them again. It is a pain, however it's a free way to earn a ton of points!

it sounds like I will have to contact mypoints, but at least I'm not too worried about getting the credit (eventually)...

...I didn't like AOL and called them to cancel after only a few days...but they offered to give me free until November, so I said okay, even though we haven't used it again. I think when this month with msn is up I'm going to switch to DSL through Verizon--my phone service is through them anyway.

but my AOL account is still active for now, so I guess that's all the proof I should need, huh?

...and yes, that is a lot of points for free!
