AOA, Akl, or CR?

We are going in Feb/March 2013 and I am trying to decide on which resort. I know I can't book yet, but you can never plan too early. :yay:

Here is my dilema. There are 4 of us, dh, me, ds8 and dd 4. We always like a little extra space, so dh wants to try the suites at AOA.

Ds keeps asking to stay at AKL because he wants to be close to the animals. Me, well I'm torn between AKL and Cr. Part of me wants to stay at akl because I know it would be more relaxing, but the other part of me wants to be at cr, so we can walk to Magic kingdom. What could be better?

I just don't know what to do. Of course if I can't get any discounts we might end up staying off of Disney, which we did on our last trip. We stayed at the Hilton grand vacations club at sea world, which is beautiful, but I'd love to stay on property. The problem is dh. He loves the space we had, plus he does not like Disney nearly as much as I do, so if I have to compromise the hotel to get to go to Disney, it's something I'll do.

Anyway help me decide.

If you can do it, I would do AKL. But I haven't been to the Contemporary, save to drive through it on the monorail once. I really enjoyed the AKL when we stayed there, there was plenty of space, and the resort was beautiful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom at Kidani, but I hear Jambo is very nice as well. My son LOVED the animals at AKL, we went to the fire pit a couple times and just watched the animals wander around. It was amazing!

Well, CR has the largest rooms on property, along with Poly. So you'd def. have more space at CR with 2 queens + daybed. The Garden Wing rooms are less $ then Tower rooms.
So CR (or Poly) would be my first choice, AKL 2nd, and AOA 3rd. For the price they are charging for the fam. suites, I'd rather stay at a deluxe. But that's just me.
I'd go in Feb, March you are going to get the high crowds with Spring Break.
And higher prices too.

...look into DVC at BLT or AKL, especially if your DH wants some space.

If not, it is a coin toss. I love both of those resorts (CR, AKL). It really depends how 'hardcore' your disney trip is going to be. If you want to do ropedrops every day, etc, stay at CR, it is more conveneint. If you want to enjoy breakfast on your balcony with the giraffes (we do) and an occasional rope drop, go with AKL. I would only stay at AKL if I had a savannah room...and we bumped up for bunk beds last trip as well...DS (6) LOVED it.
