Day 5 – The One Where I’m Lazy

I was woken up by hubby at 10am – I’d slept right through. I decided to have a lazy day as I was shattered and my legs and feet were still throbbing and aching from the previous few days. I rang and cancelled my PS for Le Cellier at 11.30am and then ended up falling back to sleep. I woke up a while later and spoke to my mum to let her know I was doing ok. Again, I fell back to sleep but at midday, I dragged my lazy butt out of bed.

I spoke to Andy and I could not decide what to do with myself. About 1pm, I decided to go to the food court and I stopped to take some photos on the way.

I then tucked into chicken strips and chips, which was really yummy. I had a look in the shop and was pleased to find the 4th edition of the Disneyana Pin book and I also bought the Disney Tails bandana, as I knew that Andy’s dog Dee would pose in it and we’d have a good laugh. I’d decided while eating to head to Downtown Disney but now I had the bandana, there was no point so I headed for MGM instead to try my luck.

First stop, Voyage of the Little Mermaid for a fastpass. It was for between 6.40 and 6.50 – the time was only 4.30 but I was planning on staying for Fantasmic so I knew this would be fine. I went to see Muppet Vision 3D as I’d missed the start of the last Beauty & the Beast. There was a 20 minute wait for the Muppets but it was worth waiting for. By now, I was getting hungry so I decided to eat at the ABC Commissary. I had the Cuban sandwich, which I didn’t really enjoy – too much strong tasting ham in it. Next up was the Great Movie Ride. Again, the queue looked short from outside but once inside, well it was a different story. Today I had the cowboy version and our guide was very believable I thought and she managed to frighten a few of the kids. After, I still had a 20 minute wait for Voyage of the Little Mermaid but I didn’t mind because I love this show. The show was absolutely packed and there was still a huge standby queue for the next show, which would be the last one.

By now it was 7.30 so I decided to go and grab a seat for Fantasmic. It felt like a long wait but I had a bucket of popcorn and a bottle of diet coke to keep me company. I was amazed at the amount of people who turned up like 5 minutes before the show started and expected to find seats, which of course they couldn’t. All I can say about Fantasmic is wow, it was very worth the wait. It’s amazing! I’d definitely see it again and I didn’t realize you saw so many characters too. It was great fun but it did scare some of the little kids and they were taken out.

Half hour later, I joined the ravel of people heading to the exit. A lot of people seemed to stop at the shops to look round. I managed to get a seat on the second bus so I was happy. My feet were really aching so I headed straight back to my room. I watched some TV while looking through the pin book and fell asleep after That 70’s Show at 12am. Hubby woke me up at 1am as he’d been missing me so we chatted for a few minutes. It didn’t take me long to go back to sleep though.
