Anywhere to get blood work for coumadin levels?

Dr wants me to get INR checked while in Disney. Does anyone know how I can do this?

When we were at WDW a couple years ago, DD started to get sick. We called the front desk at ASMovies and they gave me a number to call to an ambulatory care center. They sent a van to pick us up. We had DD's urine tested for a urinary tract infection. They van stopped at a Walgreen's on the way back. I imagine you could go there. I wish I could give you the name of the place and number. You could call and find out.

Check with your insurer--they can provide a list of labs that are "covered".

Have you asked for advice at the doctor's office about how to do this?

It's a little different than going to a clinic for illness. An urgent care center (which might be where you would go for an illness or accident) may not be set up to do an INR because that would not be something that is ordered often in urgent care. You may need to go to a more specialized clinic or a hospital lab to get an INR.
Where ever you go, they would need a doctor's order to do the INR. I don't know if they could do that with an order from your doctor or not (depends on what state you are from). There would also need to be some way to get the results back to your doctor so that he/she can decide whether to have you stay on the same dose of Coumadin. You would probably need a sort of "introduction" letter from your doctor to let the lab know how to contact him and what the therapeutic level of drug he is looking for.
