Anything WALL-E at Disney World?

Disney totally dropped the ball on this one. If they were on top of their game this should have been a no brainer!! They should have at least capitalized while it was so new and fresh. I assume they will come out with a WALL-E attraction 5 or 6 years down the road made from their recycled past.

WALL-E had a budget of $180 million and grossed $522 million worldwide. That deserves a robotic of some sort to entertain visitors and fans. Especially considering the theme behind WALL-E. They could be the "biggest voice of all" when it comes to bringing the situation at hand to light. I'm pretty sure that it would be a little more profound than getting rid of the wristbands for EMH and have them all use their keys.:confused3

On the other hand...I guess it's cheaper to put a girl in a Bolt costume and pose for pictures. Disney dropped the ball on this one.....Imagineers? Really?

I totally agree with you mad hattered. exspecially since the dvd release just happened. some viewers are seeing wall-e for the first time now and compared to wall-e bolt was nothing. i dont know a kid that doesnt love wall-e. it seems like every new movie they advertise alot and really push it and then when you really get hooked on it they take it away. it's ashame to pay that much money for a wall-e robot and then use it for 2 months and not again same with lucky the dinosaur where is he. i think im just mad cause i really wanted to see wall-e :lmao:

What are you talking about? Bolt is a boy, not a girl.

We were taking my 3.5 year old nephew to his cousin's house (over an hour drive) so my teen DD popped Wall-E into her portable DVD. He had told her he saw the movie with his dad when it came out, a long time ago.
When the sad little musical number started playing in the beginning, I said from the front seat, "Aw, Wall-E's lonely." And my nephew said "He wants his E-EE-V-Uh!"
I was very impressed- this kid hadn't seen the movie in 6 months, which is like, a fifth of his LIFE, and he got the whole thing.
Disney really should put Wall-E into the parks (Epcot is a natural, so is Tomorrowland). But then again, I always say Jungle Book has the best music in all of Disney's storied history, and there's barely a trace of that one anywhere. (Why not the "Jungle Book Cruise"? They could do sing-alongs instead of the lame puns.)

I hear ya. My 2 year olds favorite movies are Wall-E and The Jungle Book.

There are rumors going around that the Imagineers are toying with the idea of updating Tomorrowland so that it resembles the "Buy N Large" future from the movie with all the screens and loudspeakers, etc. I'd assume they would remove the "desolate" part of that future from the movie. LOL

My DS 3 loves Wall-E, I like him too, his voice is so cute. An actual Robot for a meet and greet would be great - and seemingly so easy.

I am happy to hear they have merchandise for Wall-E, our local Disney store has had very little. My DS would like a Wall-E t-shirt, so hopefully we will find that.

Come on Disney, WE WANT WALL-E!!!!

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but we're going next week and my 2 and 3 year old boys LOVE Wall-e more than anything. Is there anything Wall-e specific for us to do?

There was a bit ago some talk of the anamatronic Wall E making the rounds again of the parks, which is something I know I would love. Just seeing the youtube videos of this makes me hope to see it in person one day. He was in DL, but was not for all that long before it went down. Let all of us wall e fans just keep our fingers crossed he makes a debut at WDW SOON!

The animatronic was never in DLR. He was put, as the youtube video linked to in this thread mentioned, on the "streets of LA", but no one at DLR ever mentioned seeing it at all. (and the youtube vid was not anywhere in DLR)

I've posted my thoughts before that the animatonic wall-e will most likely never be at the parks as a true meet and greet.

There maybe some limited photo ops in the future, but I think as a full motion robot it would be difficult to keep little fingers from getting caught in numerous pinch points.

Wall-e is an industrial trash compacter with tank like treads. Kids would want to do the same things that they do with other characters and touch and hug him. Unless they put safety shields all around, all I see is him doing is rolling out with two handers on either side and maybe some limited shots with him motionless.
