I will be in France for 12 days, with work, starting August 1. I have 1.5. days on my own around Paris. As much as I would love to spend the whole time in DLP, I also know that I need to relax a bit and eventually plan a trip to come back and really enjoy it. I'd love to go for a few hours to pick up a few souvenirs and maybe have a meal. Is this possible without a ticket to the parks? My options are the evening of the August 4th or mid-day-evening of August 5.

TIA!

You don't need a ticket for Disney Village you could shop and eat there!

Yeah, Village is free to enter, but don't expect an area like Downtown in WDW. It's one street with EOS, Starbucks and the new World of Disney store. You can easily pick up some souvenirs, but if you are coming all the way from Paris, it might be a long trip for so little.

Have you considered getting a one day ticket and spend a couple of hours in the main park. The new night time show, Dreams, is said to be the most amazing show in the history of Disney parks. I can't wait to see it, since I still have World of Colors as my all time favorite show, and this is said to be better :-D

You might also buy a ticket for the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show. It's in the Disney Village and you don't need to buy a park ticket to see it. The "billet malin" (smart ticket) can be bought for as low as 30€, that's quite good for a dinner with a show.

In the Village there are a lot of shops and restaurants, not as nice as Downtown Disney at WDW or DLR, but enough for a Disney fix :D.

Exactly what I was thinking :goodvibes

It will be a 2hr round trip from Paris and costs you 14,20€ - Seeing that the park is open to 11 pm and that you have Dreams on atm I'd be making an afternoon/evening of it in the park

You can get a train back to Paris after Dreams and you won't be alone as lots of people head back so it's safe

You can get a Francilien day ticket at a great rate but you must buy at least 5 days before so hury hurry

1 day - 1 park for the 5th of August is 41€

If you are buying your ticket at the gate it's 61€

I think if I were to travel all the way from Paris just for Disney Village I'd be sorely disappointed and wish I'd saved my money and time for Paris.

As Stephanie and Carrie recommended, I'd also say to buy a one day ticket - that way you'll get to see the park, have a meal, buy some souvenirs and Dreams.

I'd also suggest Walt's for your meal. :)
