Anything special for 2nd week of Oct?

Well we got it! YEAH!! LOL Only now they said the rate is only good through the 12th. So we did the 9th-13th. I really wasn't thrilled to move up my dates, I know that week will probably be busy. But I'm hoping going in the park Tuesday-Friday won't be as bad as the Monday or the weekends. When does the Haunted Mansion open with the overlay in Oct? I don't want to miss that either. But I'm so thrilled about the rate!

We managed to get the GCH for 2 of the nights at DL (we're splitting the sta y with a cruise) So I'm stoked! We've never stayed on site at DL before and after our WDW trip to the Poly last October, I'm not sure I could go again without the pixie dust in the room! To only downside is that we still have 2 more night to find a room for and at $340/night the GCH is too steep!

That is great - I am so glad you were able to get the rate!!! We will be there the 7th - 11th!!! I swear the HM goes down late Sept and is back up by then - but I am not positive - I will have to do some checking!!!

When we went in 2005 the HM as up for our trip and we arrived on Oct 4th that year, so hopefully it will be the same, I like it both ways, but I thik it's a little more interesting in the holiday garb.

Let me know if you find out! I tried to do some checking but didn't find a lot on it. I'm also wondering about Small World. I know when we went in late October a few years ago it was down, but I can't remember when in Oct. is goes down.

But thanks for all the help with the rate! It completely made my Mom's day (since it's her big wish to stay there this time). Since we'll be there the same time I'll have to treat you to a Dole Whip for all your help!

I think its in sept..(HM) We'll be there at the same time as you! When I booked the rooms, they asked if my children were going to participate in the gay days activitys.... Yup!!!

We were there Oct 12-15 of '06. The crowds weren't too bad. HM overlay was up and IASW was open. We got our tickets at Gay Days pricing but didn't go until after the event. It did sprinkle a couple of times and was a little cooler than what we like in the evenings. lol

Congralutions to the people who got that great rate! We did too! We are arriving on the 9th and leaving on the 15th. We were able to get that rate for the 9th - 12th. My SIL and her family got the rate too. They didn't ask us any questions.

I'm so excited I saw this thread we were planning on taking my son to DL for his birthday 10-13 but I asked if he was okay going the week before since we could get a really good rate on gch and he said yes (like he'd say no to going to DL anytime ) So we're now booked 10.3 to 10.6 at gch When I called to make the reservations the guy didn't ask me any questions about my promo code just informed me the rates were good from sept 30th til oct. 12th I wish I could go the week after but who can beat the rates
