Anything scary (or shocking I suppose) ever happened to you at Disney?

My most shocking story is when we were getting onto the haunted mansion ride the CM was trying very quickly to get three different wheelchair families onto the ride , us being one. While I was helping carry my dd onto the ride my dh hopped onto the wrong car and rode the ride with someone elses wife. It ended up to be pretty funny, the whole time my dd kept saying why is dad with that lady, and whenever the lady got off the ride she looked at my dh like a freak and went running to her dh. :scared1:

When we were there in November, my kids and I were using the family bathroom in Toontown. When we came out, there was a man standing with a little girl in front of the ladies' bathroom. Apparently, the little girl had walked into the men's bathroom by herself. My DH took my kids and I went into the ladies' bathroom to ask if anyone was missing a little girl matching her description. Several people said no and then one lady just walked by me glaring.

When I got outside, the glaring lady was with the little girl. Apparently, her companion in a wheelchair was supposed to be watching the little girl. What really bugged me is that the lady (who was apparently grandma) never thanked the man who brought the little girl out of the men's restroom (and waited with her until we found her family) or me. I don't think we deserved medals or anything, but a simple thank you would've been nice.

She was standing there with no shirt on whatsoever. Just her bottoms and a black bra. She was bent over digging in a bag and then ever so casually pulled out a new shirt to put on. :rolleyes

What a low life! I always wait until I'm in the parking lot to pull a stunt like that.;) Seriously, I am guilty of changing in the weirdest places (comes from trying to do to much in a short period of time). Plus, I guess working in health care I've pretty much seen it all. But, no, I would not do it in the park.

I always find lost children! LOL I guess as a mom I have my "Mom eyes" on when we are at Disney. I found a little boy who spoke no english right outside the rest rooms by test track. The only thing I could get out of him was that he was looking for his mommy. Thankfully the CM cleaning the bathroom spoke spanish. she called for his mom all over the bathroom and got no response. He was finally requited with his family MINUTES later outside the bathroom.

Shocking for me was my younger daughters first trip to WDW. She was 5 at the time. It was a great vacation. OUr last day of park touring was at Epcot. We (Me, dh, older dd and younger dd) were sitting on the bench across from the Mexico pavillion. We rested there for few minutes and then decided to go inside the pavilion. The girls were happily trying on the sombreros when dh decided to get a picture. I reached for the camera, which had been on my shoulder only to realize that I left it on the bench. AHhhhh!! It was digital and all of the vacation pics were on it -- over 400! I ran (and I have never run that fast) outside of the pavilion and back to the bench. There sat an elderly couple. Right next to the woman was my camera. She saw me approach and said "I saw you leave this here. I thought you would want it back so I thought I would sit and wait for you." I was so happy I almost cried. I told her that all the pics for the whole vacation were there.

It was nice to meet such kind and honest people.

The world is full of kind & honest people. If it weren't, I wouldn't have a single belonging left:goodvibes

We were on a flight to Orlando once and an unattended child was on board. His seatmate was an older lady- it seemed to me they didn't share a common language- anyway they never spoke as far as I could tell.

We were a few rows back. As we were leaving, I looked down and saw the kid wedged between the bottom of the seat and the back of the seat in front of him. He'd gotten out his life-vest sometime after the flight attendants sat down in preparation for landing, put it on and pulled the inflator::eek: He was completely stuck!

I think his seatmate didn't speak English and didn't know what to do- she never told anyone what this kid was up to, just got up and left. Myself, I could figure out how to say "Stop that right now," in ANY language!;)

OMG! That is so funny!

My DD was about 8 or 9 and we were in line for Haunted Mansion. The doors open and they let us in, but my DD was busy looking at the scenery. As we were going into the stretch room I looked to grab her hand and she wasn't there. I started to scream for her, I stood at the door way and won't let them close the door. They kept telling me I had to move, I said I wasn't going anywhere until I found my daughter. There were about 6 of us still in the stretch room looking for her because it was packed. They finally closed the doors and I told them they had to open the front doors so I can look to see if she was still standing there. They wouldn't open the door, I had to go around the building to get out, squeeze back through the line to look for her.
When I spotted her, I saw the terror in her eyes, she was so scared.
Thankfully she just stood there when she realized she didn't see us.
She was looking at the cemetary and when the doors opened everyone pushed through and she got stuck behind.
You know I never let go of her hand the rest of our trip.
I was never so scared.

Similar thing happened to me last January outside of MGM. I was pushing DD3 in her stroller and apparently walked away too fast to get in a short line to get in the park and DS6 wasn't following me like I thought he was! I got in line & realized he wasn't anywhere to be seen and I panicked! I'm only 5'2" so I couldn't see over everyone in the lines. I went running frantically and finally found him standing in between the guest servies windows (you know how they form the pillars that you walk between from the security check?) and he had that same look of pure terror in his eyes. He started crying when he saw me and I had the most Mommy Guilt I've ever felt in my whole life!

The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when we went to Disneyland. My mom and dad told my older brother to keep his cell phone on in case they needed to contact us. We went to go on the Matterhorn and realized there was an uneven number of people to match up on the bobsleds. I ended up sitting in the lap of a strange lady who smelled really terrible. She kept screaming and digging her nails into my arm whenever there was a sharp turn or a dip in the ride. As soon as I got off I ran straight to my brother and told him I wanted to hang out with my parents for a while.:scared1:

Years ago I had my camera stolen from my friends babies stroller.
Was shocked that this could happen at Disney.
