Anything new on Yak and Yeti????

We are going in October, and are hoping it will be open by then. But information on an opening date seems to be scarce. Still cannot make ADR's for any date at this point...

Anyone been by there recently? How's the progress?

I have a friend who works at the AK and we had dinner with him last week and he said they are hoping to have it open by November. That is what the CMs at AK are hearing. We were there last week and they have it framed, but the walls are not up yet.

Sorry for sounding so mad/disappointed but I always thought that Disney was always on the ball and would always meet "deadline."
I suppose no one can be perfect though. Maybe it will be open by mid October.

Indian would be good! We have our fingers crossed that there might be some Thai food on the menu, since it has been described as "pan-Asian/Asian fusion". I am hoping for some Indian, Thai, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese, and maybe Korean or Vietnamese.

I am going to remain hopeful and assume that AK cannot handle taking Tusker House out of commission without opening Yak & Yeti to handle the overflow. I know, I am being naive, but I so want to eat at Y & Y during my Oct trip so I am keeping up my positive thinking.

Its not owned by Disney. Same owner as the Rain Forest Cafe, which is not on the Disney Dining Plan.

This is reason why Tusker House is becoming a buffet (table Service).

You have to remember...after all the hurricances there was a shortage of building materials in Florida. Many projects have been delayed.
People are still getting roofs in our neighborhood.
I will be happy just to have a new restaurant!
