we are really almost certain we are going the week of Nov 7 -13 (this includes
Veteren's Day November 11) and when I was on the phone booking the CM mentioned that the schools were out locally for like a teacher's inservice at that time. Is this true? anybody gone in the past on this week? how crowded? so far we have only gone in Sept during free dining and looking for something to compare it too

That week will probably be busy. A lot of the NJ schools have a couple days off that week I believe and it is called Jersey Week.

Check and see...the food and wine festival may also be going on that time.

But...I certainly wouldn't not go that week. I'd just plan a little more.

Have a great time!

Jersey Week is the week preceding your vacation week, we were there for the tale end of it last year and it really wasn't bad at all. I believe that the F&W festival will be ending the weekend of your arrival, so I'd avoid Epcot on the 7th unless you want to partake, we were there the Sat. of the last weekend and it was so crazy busy that we left Epcot mid-afternoon. Your dates should be fine and not crowded, although I don't know about crowds on Veterans Day or a Florida schools in service day, I imagine it will be more crowded then. The weather's really nice in early November too, we didn't have a drop of rain and the temps were terrific, warm enough for shorts during the day and maybe a lightweight long-sleeved something at night.

We were there the same dates in 2009 and it is now my FAVORITE time to go! :thumbsup2 Jersey week and F&W had just ended. Crowds were fantastic! MVMCP started that week so many of the Christmas decorations were out (don't know if that will be the case this year?) I was able to make dining reservations online just days before we left, even had to call to change a couple while we were there and had no problems. The weather was cool in the mornings and nights but perfect during the day. I love November!

I second what amy said. we were there the 8th-14 of 2009, and the crowds were great, even on veterans day. The christmas party and osborne lights started on the 10th, so that was a plus. November is a great time to go.

I third what Amy and Mikamah said!!:thumbsup2
I was there Nov 10-18 2009 and it was wonderful. The weather was around 80 everyday and low humidity. The crowds were nonexistant. When we went to DHS one afternnon and only had around a 20 minute stand by wait for TSM . For most rides we never got around to using fast passes because the SB lines were so short.
I'm already booked for Nov 8-18 2010!!! I can't wait!!!!

This is great news, we are planning to be there Nov 11-16, we can't wait to see the Christmas decorations!
