Hello,

I had the LAP-BAND surgery in February 2005 and going on a Disney cruise in feb 2006. I looked at the menus and I am not finding much I can eat. What did you eat? Did you find enough foods that you could tolerate? Thanks!

My wife had the lap-band procedure in October and she has been very happy with the results. As far as foods go, she has the least difficulty with seafood, especially flaky fish like Tilapia. She really has a hard time with meats and the more steak-like fish. There should be something on every menu you could eat, but might mean having a lot of salmon and other fish.

Not much of a fish eater. I'm afraid the roasted chicken will be too dry as I don't tolerate it well. I also don't taloerate salad or pasta. I may just order the pizza off the kids menu (I can tolerate pizza very well).

I hope I am not too nosy, but I know very little about the lap-band surgery, what about the surgery makes some foods hard to tolerate. I thought it just reduced the size of the stomach to allow less food to be eaten. Does it make the stomach more sensitive.
