Anyone with experience getting last minute rooms?

Has anyone ever gotten last minute rooms? I'm planning on arriving at Disney late tonight and staying through Sunday. I haven't made any reservations and its just me traveling alone. I'm not picky about where I stay, however, I'd like to pay a moderate or value rate, Florida resident rate would be wonderful.

Any suggestions on how to get a room tonight without driving from resort to resort asking for vacancies?

Call CRO NOW!!!

If you show up at a hotel, they will charge you rack if there are any rooms available. Call CRO and see what's available both for rooms and rates. If there are any deals (FL rate, etc.) they 'should' know. It will also be easier for you to make a rez this way than to drive from resort to resort.

I get last minute rooms at Disney frequently as there are weekends where we wake up and decide to run up to Disney. The other posters are correct, you must make your ressies through CRO in order to get any kind of discount, calling or showing up at the resorts will get you the rack rate only.
Good luck with this weekend, I do not that it's packed up there. We leave today as well, and the Yacht Club is sold out!
I did see that travelocity had plenty of rooms left, you can always try them. The Swan and Dolphin were also available.
