Or hasn't in a very long time?? My kids will be 35 month old (ds) and a 16 month old dd. I can't tell you the last time she slept in the stroller - and my son.. oh boy. And they are both kids that totally need their naps, so we are planning on going back to the house for down time/nap time.

I guess my question is, Did your kids conk out with all the excitement? I kind of want them to nap in the stroller and save us a trip (selfish I know), and the adults can still do the bigger people stuff as they sleep.

I NEVER thought my DD would sleep in a stroller. But she did at WDW! I found a quiet shaded area in Canada (the show exit in between shows), and out she went! I was so shocked I took pictures LOL.

I figured out with her that if I was in a area with no activity (so she wasn't "missing" something) she would be out in a few minutes and we could continue on.

My kids wouldn't sleep in a stroller, so we were back to the room for a nap every day. Now they are 7 and 4 (will be 5 on our next trip) and they don't use strollers anymore, but we do still take the nap. It's just something we need.

My kids don't sleep in strollers either. On occassion my ds will fall asleep but he has to be REALLY tired. But, my kids still nap. We go back to the hotel and nap. Lights out, we lay down with them and they fall asleep. They always nap at Disney b/c they are SO tired!

Me! I remember our first trip to Disney...everywhere we looked, there were all these kids passed out cold in their strollers. Not my son. He NEVER napped...made me crazy, because he would be so cranky, but he wouldn't give in.

I can't believe what a selfish mother you are, wanting some adult time.... OMG, if I don't get some "adult time" on our trip from our DD2 & DD4 I may go insane! Do anything and everything you can to get your adult time, even have a in-room babysitter for at least one night for a "date night" with DH. Lets not forget moms, even though we are mothers (and some of us are fathers), and sacrafice almost all of ourselves almost all of the time for our families, we do have to reward ourselves every once in a while.

PS - I love my DDs more than life itself, they are the joy of my life, and I would do anything (and do) for them. However, I also think its very important to do separate things for just the adults... I mean, you want the marriage to work too, right?!

I have 3 and they rarely (almost never) slept in the stroller. My DD did once that I can remember, and that was really late at night at the MK on about our 7th night...but that was highly unusual and only because we'd run her ragged during the whole trip. I don't think either of my boys ever did.

Funny thing--my sister's kids loved to sleep in the stroller, but then they were always sleep deprived. They had no regular bedtime or naptime, and my niece one time fell asleep on my parents' family room floor at about 7:00 p.m. during my dad's birthday party (the house was full of people).

I guess my kids sleep too much at night!

My dd never sleeps in her stroller, although there were times at the park last year when she would fall asleep. To make it easier for her I took 4 binder clips and lightweight, but darker colored blanket. I clipped the blanket to the stroller hood and draped the blanket down the front. That way the sun was popping her in the eye and she would sleep for a bit and wake up in a much better mood

Good Luck

DD4 never really slept well anywhere except her own bed. Until we went to WDW. Then she was napping in the stroller, falling asleep in the car on the way to the hotel, and never even waking up when we brought her in and put her to bed. She was a sleeping machine! It was awesome! We were mostly at the parks from morning til 11 or so at night. While she is an active, outdoors kind of kid, she was definitely not used to all the walking, running, activity and staying up past 8pm.

The only time my dd nearly 2 ever naps in a stroller is at WDW. We have just come back from a trip and on previous trips she was always very good about sitting in the stroller after lunch and having a sleep.
This time I did as always and asked her to sit in the stroller and have a sleep (she spends every other minute out of it running around). Then the battle of wills started, there was no way she was going to sleep if mummy was suggesting it!!!!:rotfl2: I tried a new approach the following day and asked her simply to sit in the stroller and have a rest. I put the sun shade on and we walked a bit and she was off in about 10 minutes. Worked everyday as long as I didn't mention "sleep" beforehand.
Toddler independance is an amazing thing.

My dd never sleeps in her stroller. We were told that she would in WDW, but she only did once. We took her back to the room every day except one for a nap, and it kept her (and us) from getting grouchy.

My DD doesn't sleep in a stroller or a car. We went back to the room so she could nap. It was worth it to me to have her happy and well-rested. However, it seems like there have been a lot of good suggestions to get a little one to sleep in a stroller. Good luck! :thumbsup2

DS didn't ever stroller nap very well. He is 36 mos old ( or 3 y/o)...at this point I would actually never expect him to nap in the stroller. Napping is even a little inconsistent at this point at home and in his own bed!

We have just ALWAYS planned on nap time and still do for DS. He naps very well at Disney, just not in the stroller!!! He did maybe once or twice (we have been I think 8x with him). It was a very minimal nap too.

Just my experience!
