Hey guys what magical stories do you have that you can share when you have honeymooned at Walt Disney World? Anything from what magical things were done for you to what your most magical memories are. We are going on Monday, so anything to get us more in the mood than we already are.

My DH and I went for our honeymoon in May, 1997. My best tip is to get the Mickey bride and groom hats. If your DH won't wear the hat, you should still get one. We noticed the special treatment right away. CM's started offering to take our pictures, we got to ride a few rides twice in a row, confetti and special chocolates at CRT for dinner, and a card saying "Congratulations" from Mickey and the Gang that was left in our room. Also, let anyone and everyone know that you are celebrating your honeymoon. You never know what might happen!!

My husband and I went to WDW WAY back in October 1977 when it was only the Magic Kingdom, 26 years ago! Even though we didn't stay onsite (wanted to stay at the Poly but money was very tight back then), the offsite hotel we stayed at was very nice to us; champagne, free room service breakfast one day, chocolates and fruit.

As for the MK, our favorite memory surrounds the Seven Dwarfs. Remember, this is way back when characters could be found anywhere at anytime in the park, just walking around. My husband I were just walking when another guest yelled at us to turn around. And there they were! The Seven Dwarfs all right in a row behind us, hopping and skipping. It was the most awesome thing...we still tell our kids (14 and 10 and many, many visits to WDW under their belts) about it.

You will have the most wonderful, memorable time. Even though we've been back many, many times, that trip was one of the top 3. The other 2 were the first times my daughter and son went.

We stayed at POFQ for our honeymoon, and mentioned it when we checked in - but nothing was done. Then DH made a PS for Narrcossee's at the GF through Guest Services at the hotel, and he mentioned it . At dinner, they gave us complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The next day we came back to our room from the parks, and had a a Mickey shaped basket with crackers/cheese, etc. and a card signed by Belle and the Beast. It was nice.

In 1998, we had our honeymoon at POFQ and when we checked in, they asked us if we were on our honeymoon and we said yes. They upgraded us from a standard room to a corner king room, water view, no extra charge. They also gave us a voucher to go to Scat Cat's and have a free champagne toast.

I agree with the poster that said to tell anyone and everyone that it's your honeymoon, and I think the bride & groom Mikey hats are a great idea.

Congratulations on the wedding and have a magical honeymoon!

We also received a room upgrade at the GF when I mentioned it while checking in.

Thanx everyone. We can't wait and we do have our hats and we will mention it.

Two honeymoons.

The first one (with the ex) we got champange in the room at the Poly with a rose. That was fifteen years ago now.

The second one, nothing special. Well, the trip was special and we had a great time. But no room upgrades, no champagne (my husband doesn't drink it anyway), no special desserts with dinner.

My DH and I honeymooned there in 1992 at the GF. We paid for our wedding by ourselves and saved for 2 years to go to WDW and stay at the best. I honestly can't remember when we mentioned to them that it was our honeymoon (probably when we made the ressies), but WOW! When we got to the room, there was champange and chocolate covered tuxedo strawberries. There was also a note addressed to Mr. and Mrs. XXX which was really great...our first letter addressed to us as a married couple. We were also put in a room with 2 balconies and had a perfect view of the castle. You already know your honeymoon will be incredible but add the magic of Disney to it and it will be one to treasure forever!!!

We're just about to celebrate our 12th anniversary and are more in love than ever! They must have sprinkled us with pixie dust as well.

Congratulations and let this week be the beginning of a wonderful life together!!!:love2:

My husband and I honeymooned at WDW in 2001. We also wore the mouse ears and got lots of special treats - complimentary desserts and drinks, many well wishes. One neat thing we did was get a passport at EPCOT and had it stamped in each country. The castmembers also added a congratulatory note in their native language - it is a great keepsake.

Congratulations!

Our son and new DIL are at the GF right now on their honeymoon. When he made their res's for there he mentioned it would be their honeymoon. When they checked in this past Sunday, they upgraded them to the Honeymoon Suite.

wow I hope that our resort will do something special. Silvertours already have. They called today and they just emailed to say congradulations. Woohooo.. ahh the stress of the wedding with the magic of Disney.... :)

In 1998 my wife and I honeymooned at the GF. We already had ressies for one of the honeymoon turret rooms. When we checked in they had the chocolates in the room for us.
Each time we made a ressie for dinner the staff let them know we were on our honeymoon. We always got special treatment.
The staff at the GF was great and really made the trip special. Each morning when we walked past the concierge desk they would call us by name. That was really special.

Office Tigger - we were there for our honeymoon, same hotel:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

It was wonderful and we got extra attention everywhere we went. DH is a romantic fool and kept buying me little silver Disney charms for a charm bracelet and having the serving staff deliver them to me during dinner every night. I still have the bracelet - what a great way to remember all the things we did :love2:

My hubby and I spent our honeymoon at Disney World in 1989. Fifteen years and 4 children later, we will be celebrating our second honeymoon at Disney World in 2004!

I am looking forward to spending time in "the world" with my favorite person in the world, and wish you much future hapiness. It will be wonderful because you share it together.

First off Congratulations!

DH and I honeymooned at the Grand Floridian back in 1990. We had a card, champagne, and a rose waiting for us.

We were on the Grand Plan at the time so also got little gifts every day (it was part of the plan).

It truly was a Magical Honeymoon!

Enjoy!

Thank you so much everybody. We hope that the magic will touch each and everyone of you. We will report when we get back.
