Anyone who has gone in February- crowds?

We got back 2 weeks ago from our first ever Disney trip, and we are now certified Disney-aholics! We absolutely loved it, which I knew we would. A big part of enjoying our trip was my excellent planning (little pat on my back here), which I could never have done without the DIS! So thank you to all of you.

My dilemma is that I'm a teacher, and there's no way to go during the school year. I do not want to go during the Spring break because both my DH and I are bothered by huge crowds. :crowded: The August crowds (8/9 - 8/16) were very manageable in our opinion, but the heat was oppressive. We still loved it, but I kept thinking how wonderful it would be to be there when it was 70 degrees or so. We get a week off mid-February in our district- not sure if this is common in other areas or not? Anyone want to share what crowds are like the week after President's Day?
Thanks!

President's Week is just about as busy as Easter and Christmas these days. It's going to be more busy than August. The weather will still be a bit cool (usually), especially at night. Sometimes though the cooler temps are better for park touring though. If you are bothered by the crowds this will not be the week for you. It is probably in the top 5-6 busiest weeks of the year at WDW.

Wow- I never would have guessed that! Sounds like we're destined to go in the summer.
Kilee- I see you're in Silver Creek- we're in O.P. New York!

We went to wdw last year the week before and presidents week. We visited Mk
-it was busy but managable maybe 20-30 mins queing for the big rides from what I can remember.. USE fastpass. Mgm was quieter- No queing. (we didnt visit AK or Epcot). Universal studios we had to ourselves for the first couple of hours- i.e riding E.T on our own .... Seaworld was quiet too... The weather was up and down, the first couple of days we had to buy hats and gloves for the kids and wear our jackets...Just like a fresh spring day ....The rest of the time was sunny and warm ...Just right :sunny: We would go again in Febuary..(trying out MNSSHP this year)

Last year it was busy but manageable. MK of course was the busiest. The cooler temps allowed us to really enjoy AK and really tour the entire park. It was a great deal of fun. Last year was our first Feb. break and we enjoyed it very much. All I can say is the flights out of Buffalo were VERY expensive. and SW sold out all NS for the "good days" in hours and of course the prices never dropped. I would go again, but I'd book backwards from my usual and get great airfare first then start booking everything else.
