I haven't watched Grammys/Oscars/Emmys/Golden Globes in decades. Got very disenchanted because it just seemed to me that the most popular not the best won.
And in recent years the snippets I have seen with the trend to make political statements, make me want to turn on a 60 year old rerun of Perry Mason instead.

I agree. But I think the Grammys is the less political of the bunch.
