From what I understand, there is nothing of importance that goes on at Area 51 anymore. By the time the location was "leaked" out, the facility of any importance had already been moved. There is a new, equally interesting facility in the US...but, we will never know anything about it until it has been moved again....then, it's location will be "leaked" as well.

why is Arizona such a big "hush hush" area too? is it just because there is so much dessert that anything can be hidden out there? I mean it's not like tons of people will be walking around the dessert all day in 115 degree temps..

I think that has a lot to do with it. I live in AZ, near a mountain range, and I have had friends who were hiking and were told to leave a certain area by military personnel...and, they were not on military property. Now, it could be that the military was "training" or it could be something else entirely.

About a year ago, I was up before sunrise one morning. I walked into my kitchen where there is a really big window near the ceiling of my home. I saw what appeared to be a really big star out of the window. I watched it for a few minutes, and began to notice that it was wavering ever so slightly back and forth. I began to get a little creeped out, so I woke up my dh (who believes that everything he sees in the sky is actually just an airplane) and made him come look. As we were watching this thing, it suddenly shot past our window like it had been fired from a gun. My husband, in his usual "nothing phases me" manner, simply scratched his butt and replied..."hmmm...I guess that was a UFO", and went back to sleep!!!

His point? Who knows? Our government could have some super secret intelligence and have technologies we can't even imagine (but, looking at the way they handled New Orleans this week...I seriously doubt it)...or, it could be Aliens. In the big picture, I guess it doesn't matter very much.

But, I KNOW there are things going on that we will never know about. If you want an interesting take on the Alien theory, you should read "Alien Encounters" by Chuck Missler....it will REALLY get you thinking!

I'm just curious, do people ever claim to have alien experiences in countries other than the United States? And if so, why is it that governments all around the globe have agreed to keep it all so secretive when they can't agree on anything else?

I'm not trying to be argumentative. I've always believed that aliens exist myself. But a friend of mine who lives in Northern Europe posed these questions to me. She said you never hear of countries other than the US reporting alien sightings. I've never heard one way or the other!

That's not exactly true. I remember seeing a travel show on Peru a few years ago. They had signs all over the place, and the host of the show was laughing....they were signs welcoming the aliens that regularly come to visit.

Also, I have seen shows on aliens and "crop circles" that always seem to mention Europe as well....I guess the crop circles have been happening there as well?

But, you do pose an interesting question. I remember reading one theory that these "incidents" are not aliens, but rather our own government doing secret testing...it does make sense. There are all the "cow" incidents in Nevada and Colorado...you know, where farmers wake up only to find one or two of their female cows dead with parts of their reproductive systems and parts of their cheeks missing. One theorist stated that was actually our government monitoring the most susceptible systems (the reproductive and salivary) of cattle that live and graze on land where nuclear testing and experiments have taken place in the last 50 years. He suspects there IS something funky, and the government doesn't want to "alert" the general population.

I lived in AZ a few years ago when the "spaceship" was seen by so many (I did not see it, but I had friends....who actually never believed in aliens...who did). It was supposedly about 2 blocks long, jet black, and silent. It was too dark to show up in any of the videos taken, but news shows did play people's videos where you could NO stars because the ship was there, and then the ship slowly moved and the stars re-appeared. The ship was moving VERY slowly and was completely silent. The news shows in Phoenix talked about it for months. Finally, the military came forth and said it was "low-flying militiary ships in a tight formation." There was a big uproar because peope wanted to know what military technology allowed ships to basically "hover" silently and make no noise. The military did not respond to any further questions.

It's intersting....I'm just not sure what to make of it.

so are you saying that "we" are the only intelligent life out there that all aliens want to study us??? and if so Ibeg to differ, because I've met some stupid people here in the usa..

Rajah...what cool sites!! And, the top link has the Phoenix story I was talking about in it....it creeps me out to even read about it....it was just SOOO weird. Like the family that said it took two minutes of driving 80 miles per hour to get from one end of the craft to the other....friends of mine who actually saw the craft said it was definitely ONE craft...not many!

Sure!

They have some interesting stuff on their forums, too.

And led to some links for *beautiful* crop circles. I don't know what to believe on those, I think most are manmade, but regardless of their origin there are some real works of art out there.
