Some have recommend the Tomorrowland Bridge is a good spot. Is it too close to castle? Too "off-center" to enjoy? I've heard that if you get too close the castle can actually block the fireworks . .

r do you all prefer to wtach fireworks looking straight on the castle? Anyone try going to the upper level of the Main Street rail station? Do they pipe the music in there?

Thanks in advance!!!

From the Tomorrow land bridge you can see Tinkerbell fly over head if she is out that night. I like this area and there is really not a bad spot in the park. I even like watching from Liberty Square.

wow - this makes a lot of sense to me . . but itis a bit different from what some of the guys like TourGuide MIke and Unofficial guide say - they really like the Tomorrowland Bridge, flagpole area near entrance, on top of railroad station, etc.

Anyone seen them from the top of the Main Street railroad station?

The train station is a spectacular spot to watch the "Spectromagic" parade.

And a "LESS than great" spot for watching "Wishes".

The reason is, while they DO kill all the outside lighting on Main Street and the train station platform during Spectromagic, they DO NOT turn off the LIGHTS of the train station area (where you are standing) during the Wishes show.

In fact, while they DO kill the lights on Main Street closer to the castle end of the block during Wishes, in recent months, they have started to leave ON the lights of Main Street up past the Main Street Cinema (near the Confectionery) and towards the train station end of the block. This is to allow safer exiting by guests who want to leave during Wishes (yes, there are MANY who do). So there are lights shining in your eyes if you are on the train platform, during the whole Wishes show.

What's more, the large Main Street flagpole is sticking up directly in the center of the fireworks... and Tinkerbell's flight is mostly hidden by the Main Street buildings.

Add to that, the fact that the train station "spots" can be taken for an hour (or more) before Wishes begins and it all adds up to a REALLY POOR spot for Wishes viewing.

Here are some PICTURES taken from the train station during Wishes to illustrate what it looks like from there. Note the LIGHTS at this end of Main Street shining in your eyes brighter than many of the fireworks.
Note the FLAGPOLE in the middle of your view.

Wishes has two fireworks "STAGES":
One fires its missiles from a location FAR BEHIND any public area of MK.
The other fires its missiles from the ROOF-TOPS of Fantasyland/Liberty Square/the Castle.

I have seen wishes from the Tomorrowland Bridge and thought it was fine.

That said we weren't looking for the ultimate spot. We were there for emh and wanted to see Tink, wishes then zip to Buzz and SM. worked great for us, didn't have to line up too early. It was Feb.

Great map Robo!

We watched Wishes from the Tomorrowland bridge last spring. We were on the castle side of the bridge and were really happy with where we were. After it was over we walked straight into Tomorrowland and into Monster's Inc LF. I'd watch from there again in a heartbeat if we weren't going to MNSSHP this fall! (going to find somewhere to watch Hallowishes and the parade from the same spot)

The first time I saw Wishes (Oct. 2007) was from the Tomorrowland Bridge. I made a comment to my husband, "See that wire up there? That's where Tinkerbell is supposed some across." The next thing I heard was a little girl next to us say, "Mommy, why does Tinkerbell need a wire? I thought she could fly." Oops! First visit for us and I forgot about keeping the magic for all the little ears around us. As far as I was concerned, it was a great spot for viewing Wishes.

The last time I saw Wishes was April 2009 and we watched from the train station. While the viewing might not be perfect, it is a great spot for people-watching. And as far as I was concerned, the view was good enough and I would do it again.

Last December, I watched fireworks from the Tomorrowland bridge as well as from the green area in Robo's map. I agree with Robo's map. Green area was SOOOO much better than the bridge.

I like watching from behind Dumbo to get away from the crowds, the only negative being missing the special effects on the castle.

Thanx for posting this. The prime spot will obviously get v busy, should you arrive at least an hr before Wishes start to get a good spot and if you were to snag one near Caseys could you sit at the tables there and still enjoy a good view?

I want to try the station for Parades as it looks like it would be a good spot and I am glad that you also confirmed it too :)

To be clear, I only marked the smallish area that is GREEN on the map because that is the very "sweet spot" from where the show is completely centered.

The otherwise very good and fully satisfying places to view the show
are the plentiful areas I highlighted in ORANGE.

The Tomorrowland Bridge (HUB-end) is a very good place to see the show, its just that the main fireworks are not "centered" over the castle from there (not a big deal.)

I will say that the views from the much-discussed "Wishes Dessert Party" in the Noodle Station are (at best) from a very similar angle to those from the hub-end of the Tomorrowland Bridge. If you attend the Dessert Party and end up standing too far to the right (in the Noodle Station, as you face the castle) that steep angle (and the large pylons on the bridge) can cut off some of the view of the major behind-the-castle pyro effects.

Call me crazy, but I like that area too. So much quieter for the kids. Plus, we show up to watch two minutes before they start.

Ack! Please don't knock the maps! I happen to love them...gives a great perspective!

I agree - thanks Robo for sharing . . .it really helps . . . "a picture is worth a . . "

I do have a question . . in the prime viewing area - is it advantageous to sit at Casey's corner or will it be blocked by the masses of people? Are there any other specific spots you like?

The OUTSIDE tables are a good choice.
Just be cautious that the umbrella is not blocking the view, and you'll be OK.
The tables are up against a fence, so nobody can stand in front of you.

(And, thanks for your kind words, Todd!)

Just keep in mind that the map is not official in any way. I always have to laugh at this one every time I see it because some of my favorite viewing locations are labeled just "OK."

It's all subjective.

I'm about to take my second trip to Disney, the first one 18 years ago and I will say the maps are very helpful.

Thank you Robo.
