Anyone watch the TODAY show

I noticed the few times that I've caught the show lately that when they are outside around the 8:30 segment, there is what I'm guessing a service dog with them. The first time I saw him there I thought he was part of an upcoming story but he wasn't. Then I've noticed him the last two times I've watched the show. Anyone know whats going on?

He's pretty cute! They had the audience vote on his name when they first introduced him.

He his a seeing eye dog in training. He made his first appearance over the summer as a little pup I think his name is Wrangler but I'm not 100% sure. He is a cutie though!

That's a great story. Such a smart idea to socialize him like that, he will encounter so many different types of people and noises. He's adorable.

He's been part of the show for months now. I often see him with one of the guys (either Willie or Carson), but they take him into the square and some other locations now and then. He's in training to be a seeing eye dog, and when they initially acquired him they did do a few segments on what his role will be.

After the award ceremony the family spent three days at Disney with plenty of pixie dust provided by a Cast Member who is also a supporter of the Service Dog Project where George was born, raised, and trained.

The Service Dog Project breeds, raises, trains and donates for free Great Danes as service dogs for the mobility impaired.

It's Wrangler! We got to meet him when we were in NYC in April. He came out of the side door of the studio with his handler for his morning potty break just as we were passing by. He's a nice guy!
