They showed the new Trading Mom type show coming on ABC.

Too funny! I couldn't imagine not working, being a Mom to 3, and only spending 1 hour a day with my kids!

I couldn't believe that show! Those rich women had no idea how "good" they had it! Surely they had to know that the rest of the world doesn't live like them.

I think the first 2 families both learned a lot. I missed the very end. Did the lazy lady who sleeps all day learn anything?

It was hilarious. And the Manhattan hubby saying he had no idea he was being rude?? Yeah, right.

I wonder if he will make good on his offer to do her work for a day.

Can you imagine $4000 a week on clothes???? That's a Disney trip :)

I would GLADLY trade with another mom ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

I don't recall that she did learn anything! What a waste! She definitely SHOULD have learned a thing or two!!!

I NEVER get to watch Oprah (work and all) but I think I am sorry I missed this one!

Thanks for the update. Too bad she didn't learn. The sad thing is that she is raising 3 daughters who are very, very spoiled. I feel sorry for them because "real life" will be tough.

I would NOT sign up for Wife Swap!! Why do people want their lives shown on national TV? What were they expecting?

I could not imagine staying in bed until 3PM and having my DH make my breakfast and do all the housework!

I almost couldn't watch the show.. those ladies were unbelievable. The worst part was them putting down the "normal" moms.

Trying to spend one hour with your kids? Why bother to even have them? I can't believe there are people out there like that!

I didn't see the actual Oprah show, but I did catch "Oprah, after the Show" on the Oxygen channel. They had all the same people on there and there was a lot of laid back discussion going on.

Not sure who everyone is that you guys are talking about, but the lady with 2 little boys sitting in the audience (she was maybe 30's with long blondish hair and hubby was thin with dark hair) had an eye opener. Oprah was asking everyone if they learned anything and it they would do it again. When she got to the kids, the little boy said "yes, he loved it", She asked him why and he said "because when so and so was here, we had a family dinner every night and she was there every single day we came home." It was really sad...

Oprah asked everyone if they thought they were portrayed accurately in the show and most said no, but some said sort of . I am assuming that the 3 girls that are being talked about are the girls who had the dairyfarmer mom come into the house. They all agreed that it probably wasn't completely acurate...that yes, they were spoiled and can be brats, but that there is more to them and to the relationship they had with the other mom. It was very interesting.

On the actual show, did they show the family who had 25 pets and the mom that was a clean fanatic swap?

No they didn't! That'll be another interesting one! I think this ABC show will be even more entertaining/enlightening than the Fox knock off that's called Trading Spouses!

Thanks for the info on the oxygen show. I forgot about that one and wish I hadn't!!

cotomom.....you can see After The Show at Oprah.com. :)
