We were talking about this the other night. We only watch 1 night of TV on NBC--Thursday, and even that night we are losing interest in. Many of my friends are the same way.He had to. I believe that was part of his settlement package. No more bashing NBC. They paid him in excess to be gracious. I heard he alluded that he will have a show somewhere, by saying "Next time," or "Next show."

They were talking on the radio that the "no bashing" part of the settlement was after he left NBC, but they did give him some leeway this week. They just didn't want the years of NBC jokes that Letterman has had![]()

Yes, he went after Leno with a vengeance these past couple of weeks. Jimmy Kimmel, too. I think both of them are afraid Leno will pull back in the ratings as he will be in direct competition against them again. Make Leno into the bad guy so people will watch them instead. I actually found that kind of a pathetic strategy. Although, some of the jokes were hilarious.

It did make for some great late night TV for a change.
I do wonder how people will take Leno now...I think many see him as the bad guy in all of this.
Of course I watched Conan last night. I've been watching Conan religiously every night since 2001!
His speech was wonderful at the end. Why is NBC doing this?! They made a huge mistake.
I will not be watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, that's for sure!
