Like maybe some tips, how the rooms/service are, and is there transportation to the parks? I can't walk very far so, I don't really think the whole walking to the park will be an option. I'm trying to rent an ECV from either the park or the hotel. They said I have to call 30 days prior.

By the way, we're going over the holidays. Just me and my mom (I'll be 19 then) Dec. 23 - Jan 2. :Pinkbounc

awesome!

We truly enjoyed our stay there, although it has been just over two years ago. We were at RPR in January of this year, and now know that we prefer HRH. If you get an ECV, you will be fine. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from most hotel rooms to the boat launch which gets you to citywalk, but from there you will need to walk to whichever park you are visiting. Otherwise, I think it was about a 15-20 minute walk if we didn't take the boat (with two young kids in tow).

As far as service, it rivaled, and at times surpassed that of Disney's. At that time of year, I wouldn't go without staying on property for the fol privilege, so you will be fine with HRH. Our best tip- the refillable soda cups are a great value, and use your AAA card for discounts at many places throughout the park!

Have a great time!

It is a great hotel. There is a faster walking route if you go out by the pool. There is a gate behind the slide. It does go through the parking lot, so I do not know how maneuverable it will be for you. If you cannot get an ECV at the hotel, the bus will come to the front and take you to the parks, I believe. We were in a Garden View room on the 3rd floor. It was the lobby level. It was right near the elevators and staircase to go down to restaurant and pool area. They gave us that location so that we would not have to drag kids too far down the hallway, which can get LONG. They should be very accomodating. You might want to check in as early as you can to get a choice of rooms. Check out the Universal Resorts board for tons of info on Hard Rock, have a good time!
