Just wondering if anyone has used Priceline recently and how that has gone. I used it once back in 2000 and got a night at the Wyndham Palace for $40.

Any recent experiences or tips would be welcome. I think the way I got my rate before was to bid for a 4 star in the WDW area...and I then expanded out to include other Orlando areas but not airport...since there were no 4 star hotels in those areas. Is that still how its done?

Thanks!

If you are looking to use priceline for booking your vacation hotel and or plane tickets the best resource i have found for information to do this is at Biddingfortravel.com . They have links to information about hotels and will help you decide on the best price to bid for the time you want to go, be sure to read the hotel faq before asking bidding question.

Hope this helps.

I just won Renaissance World Gate for 40 per night for 9 nights starting Oct 24. We were going to stay at the Rodeway Inn until I decided to try priceline, and this hotel looks nice and I have read that it is very close to the AK

Don't know about your specific needs but I just (last week) got the Hyatt Regency inside the airport--exactly what I was wanting-and it's listed as a 3-star, I got it for $39 for our arrival night and I'm pleased! Good luck! MJ

I have used it for our upcoming disney trip that is later this year and received the Renaissance Orlando airport hotel for $33 and the Hotel Royal Plaza for $40. I am pleased with these hotels and the price I received. They are both rated 3 star by priceline.
