Anyone used a white noise machine...

We'll be in a SPH room (5022) that is an adjoiner. Is there really that much noise that you can hear through the adjoining door? I would appreciate knowing if it interfered with your sleep. Did earplugs help or do you think a "white noise machine" is more beneficial? I would hate for DD to complain during our cruise if people next door are ; so want to plan ahead and get a "machine" if it is necessary!

We don't even have a connecting room and we could hear the kid next door crying this afternoon! I did bring my white noise machine with me so I am sure that will solve the problem!

We always use a white noise machine to sleep- with a 9 month old and 2 snoring boys...it helps. I would say get one...ours is small enough to take along- and just plug it in.

We had a verandah room. I found sleeping with the verandah door open put everyone asleep. Listening to the ship slicing through the water.... Ahhhhh simple pleasures...

We used a white noise machine too. We got it from Bed, Bath, and Beyond for around $20 or so. It is also an alarm clock. DH and I can't sleep without the sound of the ocean but our last cruise we were in a Cat 9 room (no ocean sounds in those rooms...)

thats probably the same one we got, we also got ours at BB&B. Ours has a switch where you can shine the time up onto the ceiling too!

We sleep with the sound of waves every night at home and we bring along the machine whenever we travel anywhere. We are in cabin 5520 (no connecting door) on the Wonder for May 8-12th and we'll have it with us.
