I have seen many people suggest the use of a rollator at WDW, but has anyone actually used one? Can you advise of any issues using a rollator? I have looked over the site and have read the issues of using a wheelchair or an ECV, but no one has mentioned much about rollators that I can find.

My adult sister has just started using one in the last few months and it has been a great help, especially as she can maneuver it easily in crowded situations. She plans to use an EVC at EPCOT when we go in May, but she would rather not use an EVC at MK due to how enclosed the spaces are. She will decide on AK and HS based on how she feels once we get there.

Thank you.

My FIL never wanted to use an ECV in MK or AK because they have narrower paths and are more congested. I would say the best park to use an ECV is Epcot, especially if you are not confident using it. So, that is where I would start if she doesn't really feel comfortable using one.

On our last 2 trips, I saw many, many rollators. I would estimate on our most recent trip in October, we saw at least 6-10 people per day using them. Accessing attractions is pretty much the same with a rollator as with a wheelchair. The plus is that you have a place to sit whenever you need it and you can get some exercise/stretching when you are using it to walk.
The biggest minus I can see is that if someone is not able to walk the distances, the rollator may not give enough assistance. But, if she's used to using it and knows her limitations in using it, she will probably have no problems.

Same as every other question about using an ECV if your FIL can walk long distances a rollator should be fine but from experience if he slows everyone down it becomes difficult. The best thing I ever did to make my Disney trips better was to rent an ECV at all parks
