Anyone use TUG, eBay, etc?

To rent privatetly? If so please share your experience. Also if there are any other sittes to rent directly from owners? (timeshares) Thanks.

I've used TUG to find an owner and was very satisfied.

Once you contact each other and make an agreement, you'll deposit with them and pay the balance a month or a bit more before you're check-in date. Some owners will orally agree and some are willing to put in writing in a timeshare rental unit agreement.

After you've paid you're balance, you will be issued a guest certificate in you're name. You can then call the resort to confirm the reservation in you're name, dates, etc..

I've never rented from anyone on Ebay, so I can't help you there.

I have rented from an owner in TUG and had an excellent experience. The owner sent me a contract to sign and return and then I mailed the cheque and I received a the signed contract from him and rental agreement and everything went smoothly. No problem at all! and I saved good money!!Good Luck!

disneysteve - go to the site.

Click "classified ads" on the left column.

Then click "orlando Florida" under "for rent".

All the listings for the resorts will be there.

If you click "resort names" it will alphabetize them.

I used TUG2 last year for my week at Sheraton's Vistana Resort. I found an Australian owner who was selling his week for $600. It was the BEST $600 I ever spent!
