Anyone use the Disney luggage tags without Magical Express?

I got those cute luggage tags from Disney in the mail today! Oh I want to use them so bad! But does anyone know if they are only supposed to be used for guests using magical express? We will not be using ME bc we are renting a car and I don't want to see my bags go bye bye on a bus.
Has anyone used them who is NOT doing ME? Or anyone know what the deal is with the luggage tags? Any info would be be much appreciated!!

If you mean the plastic luggage tags you can use them. When you use the yellow M.E. tags from the book they send you, those are the M.E. tags. Do not put the yellow tags on your bags and they will not pick them up for you. We used M.E. in July for our visit and everything went well, if you have an early flight the bags will be in your room around 2-3pm. I will use the service again next year, just remember to pack a carry on bag with anything you want wright away because your bags do take a while to get to your room. M.E. is nice to use if you do not mind the bags coming a little latter. Have fun on your trip.

The cute luggage tags that you got (possibly have tinker bell or maybe the castle on them) are a gift from WDW for booking a package with them either directly or through a TA. They are not to be confused with the yellow ME tags that you would get if you had signed up to use ME. As I said these are yellow and look somewhat like the luggage tags that the airlines put on your bags when you check in.

OK- so do you put both tags on your luggage??? We will be flying and using ME both.
