Anyone use mPoints/mPlaces apps?

Old Navy is up to 60 pts today from 45. Seems they shift the points around.

I got an email that my Starbucks receipt was accepted but my BK was denied because it didn't show the receipt top to bottom. I was sure it did and I very rarely go to fast food places so I doubt I'll try again.

My 100pt check in was Cricket wireless. t mobile was 40 or 50 I believe.

So I am 2000 shy of first cash out. How long does it usually take for gift cards to process.
I've been doing it for awhile and it takes up to three days to receive.

Where I am in CA it's similar, with fast food places usually giving 50 pts. Most wireless places give 30 or more + bonus ads, WalMart is 40 or something like that, Old Navy 45 + bonus ads, Best Buy 40 or 50 + ad bonus. I too have noticed that it might be high one day and 10 pts the next (Sprint went from 85 to 50 to 30 to 10). Starbucks initially gave 50 near me but nothing now, but other SBs still give 50. Subway is 50.

Does anyone know if the color makes a difference in the little prize packages? I don't exactly understand those things. I guess it's just another way to get a bonus.
The color of box does not mean a certain amount. Red could be 50 points this time and 5 points the next.

Petsmart and pets supplies are 20 coins. Bestbuy is 40. Old navy 60. Target 75. Lowes and Home Depot 50. That's in Michigan.

That is good news about target and old navy. Both are near each other. I will try them today!

It looks like the receipt submissions for 1000 points have gone away though, at least they're not showing up in my apps any more. I guess they reached the 1000-receipt max.

Thank you all for the tips on how to get more points! I work in Manhattan and can get eight 50pt check-ins sitting at my desk, lol. I can also get some while I'm on the train between my stop and when it goes underground. I haven't noticed getting a bonus for checking in at wireless stores though. I checked in at a T-Mobile this morning and didn't get a bonus. Maybe it's only certain stores, or varies by area. I wish you could click on more than one prize box per hour. I often don't remember to go back each hour and click on another one, but I'm trying.

I use both mPlaces and mPoints through the Weather Channel app. On the WC one, I usually get a handful of videos to watch for 30pts each as I'm going through my Achievements. And after the video there's often a link to click that gives you 10 more points.

There are allot of games, and apps that uses mpoints. Nexercise, tarot.com, facts, bible inspirations, are a few. After u check in at a place u have to remember to go back the next day to claim prize box 24hrs later. That way you can watch videos for more points.

A. If anybody spots a High point “place please post it. I will do the same.
One can not do it on the FB page as it is heavily censored.

B. It dose not make any sense to go to a place just for the points as 100 points are just 4 cents.
You can get to any place from where you are, using an APP!

My unclaimed prize boxes is where I make most of my points. I just finished the New shop till you drop challenge.
I live off a Main Street that has lots of check in spots. I simply sit at a traffic light and check in. McDonald's and Wendy's are across the street from each other, I pass by them everyday to go by the Y. Dunkin and Starbucks are the other direction any I check into them to go to the grocery store.
Like someone mentioned, as of yet no one is near me claiming prize boxes.

I don't really understand what you mean by B. How do you use an app to get to a place and earn points?

This is not good for Shopkick"

"Unlike other location-enabled applications, Shopkick doesn't rely on GPS triangulation.,[23] because GPS is too inaccurate to detect true presence of consumers in stores. Instead, shopkick created a highly accurate inaudible audio signal that is unique to each store that can be detected by smartphone users who have the shopkick app installed, when the app is open.[24] Once a shopkick Signal is detected, the app delivers reward points"

For Mplaces you can do "I simply sit at a traffic light and check in. McDonald's and Wendy's are across the street from each other"

Gregfx,
Do whatever it is YOU do!! I am fine with checking in while I am on my way to where "I" am going. thank you and have a nice day!

I just installed this myself after hearing so much about it from friends. Here's what I don't get. When you use your mpoints to buy Amazon gift cards, it seems that you're better off buying a bunch of $1 gift cards than you would be saving up points and buying a larger denomnination card. For example, the $1 Amazon gift card is 2000 mpoints. The $10 Amazon gift card is 25,000 mpoints, which is 5000 mpoints more than it would cost you if you bought ten $1 cards!

Is there some disadvantage to the $1 cards? Does amazon place a limit on how many gift cards you can use in a single transaction? I don't get it.

Thanks for pointing that out!!! Do they give physical cards or codes. I use swag bucks and I simply add the gift codes to my account but that is good to know that a bunch of 1 dollars are a better value!!!

My friend just told me the reasoning behind this. Apparently, you can only redeem your points one time per week! So you could get the $1 cards, but it would take you ten weeks to accumulate $10 in gift cards.

If you use the 25000 points on a single $10 gift card, you get the gift card right away.

It seems you can easily accumulate at least 1500 mpoints per day, so you're better off saving them up and getting a $10 gift card every two weeks or so.

Codes, like Swagbucks.

I just redeemed points for a $5 Starbucks gc :) I have 2000 pts left, so I'll start saving up for next week. Thanks for the info on redemption! I didn't know you could only redeem once a week.
