anyone use Fox Rent A Car in Orlando?

Does anyone have any experience with Fox Rent A Car in Orlando? They have the best rate for our trip on July 28th to August 5th. The only downer is I have to take a car company shuttle to a rental facility off of the airport...not thrilled about that. Curious if this is a cause for concern or no big deal.

There are a number of threads about Fox Rental already - try doing a search to get some good information.

I have rented from them in Las Vegas; never again. They were located quite far from the airport (had to take 2 separate shuttles) and the line to rent a car was horrendous. It took more than an hour to work through the line. Additionally, they have older cars than the other rental agencies. I would rather pay a little more just to avoid a line like that again. I can't comment on their MCO location.

I rented from them in Vegas twice before and so has my FIL and never had any issues.

I would try to rent from one of the mainstays: avis, budget, thrifty. I don't like those off site "no name" rental agencies.

I too had an awful experience with Fox in Vegas last week. I do not know how Orlando is but I am a member of the Never Again Club.I had no problem with taking 2 shuttles but the line was almost 2 hours and that was even after several people walked out. The guy insisted we take their insurance even though I did not need it and after arguing with him I just gave up and took it. I just wanted to get off my feet by then and get to my hotel.

We also stick with the brand name companies for car rental.

I think you've made a wise decision in avoiding Fox.

You can find great deals through costco and going to the transportation board here on the DIS. I find great deals on Alamo.

We used them in Feb because we got a great deal. I did a review on the transportation board. The Orlando location is new and the people were friendly and easy. It took longer but was half price and worth it if you save a substantial amount of money. If you build in an extra half hour, you will be fine.

We rented from Fox in Vegas about 2 years ago. Our only issue was the heavy push to get their insurance.

I would potentially use them again...if I felt like I could keep my mouth shut while they were trying to sell me insurance.

I recommend using Avis, they have also great deals and offers most of the time and their customer service is just way better than any other car rentals'.
