Hi, I haven't been here in so long, but I knew this would be a good place to ask...we are forced to get our prescriptions though expressscripts.com now. I am having a problem because they are trying to charge me what I'd normally pay for THREE MONTHS of meds, even though I only got ONE month due to a mistake my dr. made on the form. We have a broker trying to fight this and I simply REFUSE to pay this. It's outrageous. WOndering if anyone else has had trouble with them.
THANK YOU!

We've been using Express Scripts for over a year now and I LOVE this service. They fill our original prescriptions promptly, and you can order refills right online. I've never had a problem with them debiting our Visa Debit card (in other words, they've never made an error and overcharged our account). Based on my own experience, I would highly recommend them.

Edited to add: Ooops, I posted before reading your thread all the way through!
Express Scripts is SUPPOSED to charge you one month's worth, and GIVE you a 3 month supply, NOT the other way around!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with them, I hope it gets cleared up soon. I'll be following your thread to see how they handle this.

I use ExpressScripts all the time and love their service;however, I have never used them for a "one month" prescription. It is not to my benefit to do so. If I have a one month prescription it is the same cost for me to go right to the pharmacy versus going through ES. The only deal for me is to use ES when I have a 90-day prescription. That way I only pay for two months versus the three month price through the pharmacy; i.e., three months of Synthroid would cost me $30 at the pharmacy but only costs me $20 through ES. However, I always believed that if I sent them an one-month prescription I would just be charged my standard co-pay. Unfortunately all prescription plans are different, even when they use the same pharmacies, so yours could definitely be different. I think I would have ES get in touch with your doctor and have him authorize a 90day supply for you.

It was an innocent MISTAKE that made me get only one month. My dr. goofed somehow. So they want me to PAY the full 3 month copayment and I said "I will just have my dr call to authorize the other 2 mths" and I was told "That will be another $80 copayment"!!! No, I don't think so. I will fight this as long as I have to.
