I just bought 150 points at AKV (so excited), and did DVC financing. From my telephone call with DVC, I have until early April to pay it off without triggering any interest on the financing.

I am very tempted to pay it off with a 0% credit card. My question is, if I apply for a Disney Rewards Visa card with 6 months 0% interest, can I use it to pay it off and earn points towards some kind of reward?

I have some other reward cards that I am considering using, but these will require me to start paying interest to them after the grace period:

1) Starwood AMEX, which I can earn points toward hotel stay
2) Chase Perfect Card, which earns 1% cash back (immediate cash back, no redeeming required)
3) Southwest Rapid Rewards Car, which earn points toward free flight

I know that I could very well apply for some other 0% card out there, and do the same thing with some other 0% credit card offer. I know that I have the means to pay it off over one year. I just don't want pay interest to anyone. Can anyone shed light on what card gives you the best value? Any advice out there?

Of course you can pay with Disney visa card or any credit card as long as you have enough credit limit to pay it off. Actually we just paid off our loan before our 1st mons. due and I used 2 diff credit cards to maximize rewards, half on disney visa and half on Citibank for AA miles. Also fyi, you can also use your disney rewards to pay annual dues at the end of the year.

Be very careful about this. Many credit cards apply payment to the lowest interest rate items first, so that would mean the 0% DVC is getting paid while other items are accumualting interest.
I'm not sure the card is structured that way, but most are.

We also just bought points with our Disney card, and are waiting for the statement to see how it works. :)

Thank you for posting this inquiry. I was just wondering if disney allows early payment of its loans with a credit card as opposed to payment via checks. I was thinking of financing our AKV add-on only to buy some additional time before having to pay in full and I planned to pay off before the interest accrual due date. But then it hit me that I might not be able to pay off the loan with a cc (which earns us rewards). Glad to hear I can proceed as planned.
