Anyone use Bare Minerals Escentuals products?

I get my BE from Ulta because they have a great return policy. If you have your reciept you can return any product purchased there. Even if it is opened and used. I did not like the first color that they told me to use so I took it back after I had used it 2 or 3 times and I told them I had used it and the color was too orange for me. They gave me the other color as an exchange and I have been using it ever since. I also got a slight burn in DW last week but I think it was due to the humidity and I was sweating so much and I probably wiped my face with a damp cloth when I shouldn't
have. I will never go to DW again in August if I can avoid it. It is too hot.

Just letting all the ladies on this thread know that QVC now has a try me set again for 24.99 plus shipping and handling of 4.47. THey have all colors of foundation available now--but they don't usually last long.

QVC I like foundation in medium, warmth and mineral veil.. Only thing I can out on my face so I don't break out!

You guys do no you can order right from bm ..There is a web site lots more to chose from then qvc..... I didnt read all the post but thought id add my 2 cents ...Love this stuff..I never was told how great my skin looked till i started to use it ....good luck :cheer2:

I've never used bare minerals before, but Arbonne just came out with a mineral powder foundation this year and I absolutely love how it makes my skin look and feel like silk. I never would have considered using a powder foundation, and was thoroughly impressed with this product. Mineral foundation "rocks" lol!!! :cheer2:

It's also more expensive. They don't offer that much more them QVC & Sephora where you get a break on sets. If ordering a single piece the .com website might save you a little on shipping.

Anyone use primer? What kind and how does BE go on over it?

I use Sephora primer sometimes. For everyday use skip this step but I think the foundation does go on easier and produce a photo-finish look.

I've used Laura Geller Spackle primer and Smashbox Photo Finish (clear) primer. The Smashbox feels silkier to me, but I've found something that works just as good, and a lot less expensive than Smashbox.

So I'll use up what I have of the expensive primers, and stick with the other one that I found that's easier on my pocketbook.

Hi y'all! I'm thinking of ordering the kit from sephora since I'm kinda tired of dealing with the MAC people (plus its 80 minutes away). Does the kit from sephora come with concealor and how can I be sure which color kit is right for me? I'm olive-skinned and don't plan on having much of a tan this winter. I don't think I'll be "light", but how do I choose between the "medium beige" and "medium tan"? Makeup has a tendancy to look very orange on me if I get the wrong shade.

TIA!

I believe if the kit comes with 'bisque' that is considered concealer though I use it all over sometimes.

There are the different shades. I would think olive skin would go with tan better. I have read folks say medium beige was too 'pink' for them.

I got the Medium Tan and it did not work for me, I needed more "pink" It does work great for my best friend who has olive skin

Yea , "Flower", I KNOW where ya live! :rotfl: so no keeping secrets! What are you using now? Need to know ASAP, as I am headed down Wed, and WAS gonna stop at the BE store in Orlando...
Come on, girl, no holding out... I can make you eat Christmas cookies, and you and your DH look so good, we wouldn't want that, would we?

You do know I wouldn't do this...

I've heard the Monistat anti-chafing gel we've been buying to take with us to the parks makes a really good makeup primer, but I'm not ready to bite the bullet and try it. :rotfl2:

You know, I had a sample of that product and used it for my sandals/rub spots. As I was putting it on, I thought it seemed familiar and now that I read this, I realized it was like my foundation primer! Thanks!

Well, I have plenty of Spackle still, so it will take a while to go through all of that.

However....
I know that it sounds really strange, and some people go ECHHHH when I mention it, but try this: http://www.soothingcare.com/soothingcare/request_sample_buffer.htm

Believe it or not, it's got the same ingredients as Smashbox Photo Finish, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. And it works great!!

Don't shoot me......

Although some have already guessed!

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!
