anyone use an ultrasonic bark controller for your dogs?

Hi! I guess that is what those things are called. They make some type of noise that only dogs can hear so they will not continue barking. Anyone use one? Are they safe? Sounds like it could be inhumane, but we have one "leader of the pack" doggy who likes to bark at anyone who walks/rides/ even thinks about doing either of those two things on our street! Then, she gets the other doggy riled up! She is driving us crazy!!! And, with the new arrival coming soon, I don't want her waking the baby at all times of the night and day (like she does us).

Any advice or luck with this product? Thanks in advance!

Oh boy, I guess you weren't following my on-going threads about my mom's barky Westie...

Well, guess what? The dog was just about to get the boot, when I decided to take her in and see if I could reform her. She barked NON-STOP. I couldn't take it, and I bought a bark collar.

Well, she has been happily living back with my mom and is no longer a barky dog. Everyone is sane and the dog is now a lovable creature.
