Anyone use Amazon.com??

I highly recommend Amazon.com We purchase most of our books from them, not tomention most of our X-Mas and birthday shopping as well.

I would say we have been using Amazon for over the last 7 years or so.

FYI, Amazon is currently celebrating their 10th ann.

The only time I go to my local boarders is to see what has been discounted or reduced but most of the time the price is still too much(IMHO)

I've been an Amazon customer since 1999. Yes 1999. I love it so much better when it was a books only marketplace with not much third party presence but that is ok.

I make sure to buy things only from Amazon.com. I have never had a problem and customer service is the best.

I use Amazon often. I've been a customer for years. I am also a Prime member. Recently we had our first issue with a product. Amazon sent me another one right out no charge no shipping charge before I even sent the original one back.

I agree. If I'm going to buy anything online I check with Amazon first. Have been using them since the late 1990s and buy more from them each year. The Prime option saves us many dollars in shipping charges.

Any defective items sold by Amazon itself (maybe a total of three things in all these years) have been replaced in advance of return of the defective item. They allow 30 days to return the original item before charging for the replacement. Can't ask for better than that.

I have also bought from others through Amazon and, again, had no problems. Used to sell used books from time to time until both DH and I got kindles. Only had one buyer question a shipment and get nasty. I refunded the small amount of money and chalked it up to experience.

I am a true Amazon fan. Last year at the end of November I received an offer from them to use their "Prime" shipping option for a month ( all the way through X mas) for free. I was so pleased that when the month was over I subscribed to it, best $90 for a eyar I have spent! It gives standard 2 day shipping on almost everything I order. They have wonderful customer service too. One of the best parts for me is no tax.

i bought my big screen tv which comes with their white glove service. Excellent delivery to home, opening with care and setting it up and making sure I am happy before leaving.

I bought guitar hero, so many movies, gazillion toys, dvds at bargain basement prices, so many books including text books. cannot beat their prices especially with no tax.

I love my prime. It is so worth it with amazon.

It truly is the best company with the best customer service.

I also LOVE my AmazonPrime membership. Today I bought three items directly from Amazon for my DBro for Christmas and it will be *delivered* by WEDNESDAY!!! I paid extra for wrapping, the gift cards were free but there was NO additional charge for the TWO-DAY shipping!!!

Has it only been ten years? I thought they were around earlier than that. I thought the first time I used them was around '97 when they just sold books. But as I get older all the years blend together.

They may have been longer than that, but I looked at my order history and my first order was 1999. Of course the order history may only go back 10 years though.

A quicky google search says Amazon was founded in 1994-95 though.

I want to thank everyone on recommending Amazon.com. My cookbook came today and was in perfect condition . I couldn't believe how fast the book came and I didn't use expedited shipping. I ordered the book last Wednesday (standard shipping) and it arrived today. I will definitely use Amazon again.

I've been shopping with Amazon for years and have been a prime member since they offered it to me years ago. I order everything and have never had a problem. I hardly ever go shopping anymore unless it's for food at the grocery store. Everything else comes from Amazon.

I've bought and sold many books and textbooks used and new and have never had a problem.

Best customer service too!
